Debris Hi there, Back from my trip to Boston... Have lived on the east coast my whole life and never got to go there... Well, the fourth came and I decided to see it - got to listen to BCN, go to tons of record stores, see fireworks, see an old friend, see the differences between it and NYC... Blah blah blah... Just thought I'd share... For those who live in Boston - - I envy you, I now know what I'm missing... Anyhow, I was just curious as to when the ORIGINAL Innerchange tapes were made and distributed - and when were all the songs recorded... Was it 94 or 95? About newsgroups... my opinion is not to start one... They're evil... Can't wait til JewelStock, 3 hours of driving isn't that bad - especially when I'm not the one who's gonna be driving =) It's only about a week away... Am I alone or are there others who are fearing the amount of mail this list will have once everyone comes back from it... Oh my... I'm sure I'll be posting about it too... Seeing everyone will be so odd as I only know most of you from your addresses... Oh yeah... if anyone's interested Duncan Sheik will be touring soon... So go see him... I think he's brilliant... Well... enough rambling... Hope to meet you all If you see me (or think you see me) say "Hello" =) Take care all and see you Thursday =) Kim "She used to tell me that life is a series of strange and mysterious things... John "the miracle today is communication.so let's use it" John Lennon '69 ------------------------------ From: Jon Grenzke Date: Wed, 10 Jul 1996 22:42:37 -0400 (EDT) Subject: T-shirts and souvenirs I've been meaning to mention to the list and to whoever might be bringing T-shirts and what not to JewelStock (I guess that part would mainly be Hiranya), that they should bring more than they would normally expect to sell at a concert of this size. I imagine that the members of the list are far more likely than the average fan to want to get an "I'm sensitive" shirt, etc, and it would be a shame for them all to be gone before people could buy all that they wanted. The other thing that I wanted to comment on was the random posts that have been appearing. I personally think that they are nice, often amusing, and help to give the list its personality. On the other hand, I can see how some people might be bothered or annoyed by them. Someone earlier made the suggestion of putting NJC (for No Jewel Content) in the subject if the message does not concern Jewel. That way, those who are solely looking for information on Jewel will not be "distracted" by amusing little anecdotes about the Discovery Channel. Also, while some people may feel that there is no need to post those little anecdotes, I think almost everyone will agree that there is absolutely nothing to be gained from posting a "Why'd you post that?" two line email...Of course, someone could call this an unnecessary email, so I put a little thing at the top to avoid that ;) Oh, also along these lines, what do people think about maybe having the mailing list automatically put "EA: " in front of the subject. That way it would be easier for everyone to sort out the Jewel mailing list from the rest of the email. I know that many people probably use filters and whatnot, but even so...it just seems like it would be easier for everyone, at least if it wasn't too difficult for the list... Okay...there was something else that I wanted to mention...but I really have no idea what it was...Maybe it will come to me later... And with all of the Jewel spottings, I thought people might want to spit out those "top ten signs that you are obsessed with Jewel" lists...so: 10. You sue the local Jewelry store for false advertising because they have nothing to do with Jewel. 9. You think that Amati, Stradivarius and the rest all had the wrong idea because their stringed instruments weren t blue. 8. You get arrested for cutting the edges off of all the frisbees you can find. 7. You get arrested for cutting the edges off of all the paper plates you can find. 6. You walk around in a tuxedo at casinos and places of international import (such as Woodstock, NY) and introduce yourself with a smug grin as "Angel, Everyday Angel" 5. You think the 12 step program for missing JewelStock needs more steps. 4. You upgrade your stereo so you can hear Jewel even more clearly (Wait... That's not funny... I did that :)). 3. You go to the doctor for MRIs and X-rays to see which parts of you are pieces of Jewel 2. You think you might fly today, just to disprove all the things non-Jewel fans say. 1. You play Jewel's CD backwards and hear God talking to you. Well, if you didn't find those funny, come up with your own or wait until the early hours of the morning. Or maybe they just aren't funny. :) Perhaps that's another sign of Jewel obsession, if you think any joke made regarding obsessing about Jewel is funny...or something ;) Take care and see you all at JewelStock, - - Jon ------------------------------ From: Merchant20@aol.com Date: Wed, 10 Jul 1996 22:55:17 -0400 Subject: Ivy Farm Inn, V-Ball, E.
