Here are the (extremely) tentative plans. We are leaving either 1] Friday or 2] Monday from Silicon Valley (Central/Northern California - San Jose) in the evening in a rental car. We plan on arriving in Woodstock on Wednesday night regardless of when we leave (pace is determined by when we leave). According to DeLorme, our best bet is to take the 680 to the 80 and take that across most of the way with detourws and fasterroutes, etc. If you would like to go, I can add your location to the route and see how it works out. Right now, we have 2-3 people going in the rental car which should cost us ~$235 (leaving monday) - ~$375 (leaving friday) plus we figure ~$250 gas. In any case, we plan to split it all evenly. Pay for a seat and yer in. :) If there are 3+ other people who would like to join us, we can consider getting a Mini-van and I'm sure that could cut down the cost a lot even though they cost more to rent. In any case.. Yes, we're crazy to drive all this way just for Jewel, but as long as it's more than just another concert (IT IS!), it should be worth it. Oh .. BTW.. Tom Proven is the other for sure driver. :) Gerrit - -- "Some people say that I must be a horrible person, but that's not true. There is definetely NOT a suitable area next to the venue, and I am not sure that (volleyball) would get an OK anyway because of those nasty little insurance people. There MAY just be an area near the back of the parking lot, can't remember it being mowed though, and you'd have to get an OK from the landowners...guess we'll see. > Mike.......
