I know most of you are understanding the posts that Akira and I are putting up, but the rest of you PLEASE read ALL OF what we post and understand it. As I said in my post yesterday, we will be re-RSVPing NEXT WEEK! Do not send any now. Do not even tell us now you want to come and bring "X" number of guests. Some of the EMAILs sound like they are in a panic and don't want to be left out. Do not worry, there will be a second show if the number of RSVPs dictate it, so we have lots of room. HOLD OFF UNTIL WE TELL YOU TO SEND NEW RSVPS!!! That will likely be Sunday or Monday. Remember, Akira and I are meeting Lenedra Saturday to discuss the new methods of RSVPs, (among other things). We are likely going to want NAMES (not just EMAIL names) of all members coming and the NAMES of the guests. For those of us not able to go: Did anyone else happen to hear the Westwood 1 public service (safer sex) announcement that Jewel did? I caught it last Sunday night on WHFS (DC area) but it was a network feed so I have no idea when it might have be on in your area. Obviously she did a good job but the big thing I see is someone out there thinks Jewel is a big enough 'star' that people will listen to her. Godd choice. Does no one else out there wonder if the Jewel/Neil Young tour will result is her doing Love is a Rose (Track 34 on Innerchange Days) possibly as a duet with Neil filling in for Steve Poltz?? I for one hope so and remind you that that would involve yodeling. Does anyone know if Tori Amos did 'Over the Rainbow' as a regular thing before the MTV Unplugged show? Before Jewel did it last Thanksgiving?? Don't ask us silly questions like "find out Jewel's phone number" and stuff like that, just serious what-can-we-do-to-help questions. We don't have time to read the silly ones. We want to find out EVERYTHING we can during this trip to make this event the best it can possibly be for everyone going. I plan on spending most of the day there checking out possible campsites, nearby places to meet and or jam during the day, mapping out the area etc. So what ever you can think of, let us know. I heard it three times on the radio today and the video was just on TV. One of the times it was like the song of the day. If you heard the song and called in, you won a prize. The other day they played it and the DJ made some crack about Jewel having a twin sister. I couldn't hear what he said due to static but I think it had something to do with her name. It must have been pretty fun because his sidekick was laughing hysterically. Did anyone hear the Jewel safe sex/use a condom commercial on the radio. I heard it on Casey Casum (or however you spell it) at home over the weekend. I hope she releases something else off of PoY. Maybe Little Sister. I think this would be a good follow up because it continues with the whole saving of the soul thing. But then she might be stereotyped as the singer who sings about the soul. I think Foolish games would be a more likely release. I sure wish she could release Sometimes it Be That Way. Rich Melko rwm126@psu.edu ################################# Jerry - You're Crazy. It is supposed to be on this weekend. They're going to play something like 700 videos or something. There's a very good chance WWSYS will be on, but I'm not sure about YWMFM. I've had Rare Angels and Innerchange Days for a week or so, and I've played them about 20 times each since that. It rules! I haven't touched PoY in that week. Thanks again, Duff. On unrelated Jewel stuff... The two rock stations here in O-town decided to change formats. One station(a good one that plays new, old, hard, soft, etc.) adopted the format of another station (a decent one that plays new, old, hard, really bad crap, etc.). The decent station became a "adult contemporary" station (which is okay because they play WWSYS and Tracy Chapman every once in a while, but also plays really bad 80s stuff). The good station decided now plays stuff like Rush, Def Leppard, and some new stuff, but guess what? No Jewel.
