I have been working on a database of all Jewel's performances and have approximately 125 of them entered so far. If anyone would like to add this to a site, go right ahead. At this point, I'm just interested in dates, venues & locations and am figuring out setlists as tapes are found. I have most of the 1996 dates but still need a lot of 95 dates and all the 94 dates. If anyone has tour itinerary lists from 94 or 95 please get in touch even if they are partial lists. I'll attempt to do a complete chronology of her shows with all your help. Below is what I have so far. If you notice a show,FM performance or TV appearence that is missing, please let me know. If you notice a mistake or an exact date you can fill in, also let me know. I don't post often (ever :), but... As a CD-only type of person since high school in the mid '80's, I've done some transfers of tapes to CD. I don't have access to a burner any more, but keep up with the technology. Prices for blank 74 minute 'roms run about $12. I don't think it would cost more than $2- $3 to ship a CD via US post. And adding in the minimal amount for a label or some liner notes, it still puts us under the $16 mark for a copy of a disk. No mark up. period. I don't know if people pay anything for boot tapes, but I would think postage would be about the same. The main difference would be the cost of the blank media. As a person who tries to be as honest as I can, I wouldn't think of burning 'roms with out Dan's approval, (and Jewel herself! ), but might be persuaded to see a "business" need to get a burner sometime in the near future. Course, I'd have to buy a tape deck, too! (ouch - there go those personal beliefs again :) thanks - chris! Christopher G. Some time ago Ken mentioned something about archiving set lists and/or concert reviews, and if anyone had the inclination to create a site that cross-referenced everything, that would make for an incredible record of her career. > 96/01/11 Java Joes,Ocean City,CA > 96/06/10 Java Joes,San Fransisco,CA > 96/06/11 Java Joes,San Fransisco,CA These just jumped out at me. That is going to be a KICKASS concert! I knew that Oasis was going to be here that day, and was debating on whether or not to go (I'm not generally a big fan of giant outdoor concerts), but with Jewel and Neil playing, that clinches it. Unbelievable! I must say though, that's a bunch of names I never thought I would have heard in the same sentence. Finally my friends who are big Neil Young fans and my other friends who are diehard Oasis fans will see why I've been making such a big deal about Jewel. Just called TicketBastard, and apparently the advance tickets are going on sale on Saturday, not on Thursday. As Luis said, they are $35. Now if I heard the TB guy right, the **FIRST 10,000** tickets are $35, and after that they're forty-something. That's a DAMN big concert. Quite a step up from Jewel's first visit to Toronto, at the 100-capacity C'est What... Excuse me while I go dancing in the streets... I didn't have any warning of her coming back so I'm going to be skeptical until thursday. Come thursday I'll post the list and let you know if she really is coming. What an interesting line up. Jewel, Oasis, and Neal Young. I just pray that the station didn't mess up. I guess I'll know soon enough. I believe it will be on August 31st but won't be sure until thursday..
