Hello Angels, I would just like to extend Rachel's comments to myself :) 1) Even when I was old enough to drink (I am of legal age now) I never wanted to. Of course this is mainly cuz of reason 3 which is 3) I can't stand the taste of beer! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. My friends have given me all kinds of beers and I hated every one of them. Now mixed drinks on the other hand... There's only ONE University OF Virginia of course :) >"It's easier not to be great" Ed Kowalkawiz Isn't it Kowalczyck or something like that? Good lyric though. Can't say as much for the Kurt Cobain one you had... Guys, I'm heading to Boston for a long weekend. Plan to listen to lots o jewel, tori, and U2 in the car. PLEASE don't fill my mailbox with more than 20 digests by tuesday. (i know it's a tough request) Jewel is playing at the San fran thing but wasn't mentioned by Kurt Loder. He only named the other 15 bands playing there. Granted all the other artists were bigger than jewel as far as MTV is concerned so i'll not get too annoyed about it. Jake "...don't wanna be a slug" Anyone know what song that's from? I'm listening to it right now (hint: it's not jewel) So what should the title of the new album be? ------------------------------ From: CBrady9158@aol.com Date: Fri, 14 Jun 1996 00:02:19 -0400 Subject: I need Jewel on DAT as subject says I need Jewel on DAT. I have some great Phish, Dave Matthews, Blues Traveler, moe. and tons of other stuff. I especially want the Irving Plaza show. What if Jewel really is just "goodness" personified? What if Jewel represents all that is good in the world and Whitney Houston represents all that is evil in the world. What if they met at the 1997 Grammy awards, both up for best female vocalists. Ironically, they are both seated in the same section. Jewel comes dressed in a stylish white dress. Whitney Houston comes dressed as SATAN. Throughout the award cerimony, Houston banters Jewel, talking trash just to get a rise out of her. But it's unsuccesful. Jewel turns the other cheek, just knowing that her victory will not just be a victory for herself and her fans, but a victory for all mankind and the future of the entire universe. Bea Arthur walks gracefully to center stage holding the envelope that bares the name of "Best Female Vocalists". The audience sits in anticipation, with the knowledge that if Houston's name is called out all that is evil and perverted in the world will have power and control over the human race. Even Jewel is begging to worry. The Grammies have been known to be rather tricky. How else could you explain Sheryl Crow and Hootie and The Blowfish. Bea Arthur opens the envelope and looks at the audience in disbelief. A drop of sweat dribbles down Jewels cheek. Houston bares an unsettling grin. Bea Arthur says trembling "And the winner is...." Anita Baker soils herself in the front row due to the unbelievable suspense. "BONNIE RAITT !!" - Skinny Pete p.s. I thought the story was hilarious... I never liked Whitney, she is too technical and not enough emotion in my op. and it always seems like Bonny Rait wins, though she does deserve it but hey let someone new win Robb (Sailor Jove) [w/ guests 12' Godzilla and Fuzzy the purple bear] And I'll return...remembering tonight - Patti Rothberg Save the Sailor Moon show!
