On the t-shirt: I am working on a design, but don't know how to submit it to the official page (should it be .GIF or HTML format?) I got them when the skinny, annoying "I'm with the band" rocker chick would get off the stool. (she finally got bounced down by a security guy who didn't give a damn who she was with). Best show I've ever seen except I wasn't aware going in that it was a 3 person billing. There were 2 girls right behind me who sang like they were being paid by the letter. Just a word girls: She's never needed back-up, never will. And I plan to video the next show so I'd appreciate being able to lable the tape "Jewel solo". I'll keep posted about the pix.We took LOTS!! I'd love to know if anyone in Atlanta knows when they'll rebroadcast the live taping so my sister can record it. THANKS!!!! Is there anyone from Charleston on here?????? A while a go, when I was on the They Might Be Giants mailing list, they suggested to all the subscribers to call 1-800-dial-mtv and request "Birdhouse for Your Soul." Well, I figure with about 400+ subscribers on this list, I think we can get "You Were Meant For Me" on to the top 20 countdown. After a couple weeks we could also switch to try and get "Who Will Save Your Soul" into the number 1 spot. It'll take a lot of calls to get through, but I think the results will be very good. So remember, call 1-800-DIAL-MTV as many times as you possibly can. Will C. Carpool. Find people relatively near to you, meet somewhere and go. whoever has the car with the most room/gas mileage drives. if there are more than 3 or 4, rent a van. it's cheap. 2. Fly. check out plane fares, they're rock bottom right now. get group rates. i talked to my travel agent yesterday; if you do it right, you can get about anywhere in the continental US for $250 or less. try flying through different cities. if you are thinking about doing this and having trouble finding decent fares, e-mail me. (try SouthWest- and NorthWest Airlines) i can get to FLA or anywhere in the midwest for under $200 (i live in PA). that's not including buddy rates. i know someone volunteered to organize this. i looked but i couldn't find the post. whoever you are, please post again. if not, i'll help. does any one work for an airline???? let me know privately if you have problems or suggestions. =) crunch ------------------------------ From: thumper@juno.com (Shane Kirk) Date: Fri, 7 Jun 1996 21:40:28 PST Subject: Carpool List Hey guys, add me to the list.
