Second, the only thing listed under "Influences" is the Beatles, and we all know Jewel has a ton more influences than that, and if she were to only list one I don't think the Beatles would be at the top. Third, under "sounds like", it is written "something to listen to when you're depressed". Sounds like someone who's only heard YWMFM and FG. There are a lot of phonies on there. I don't know if I beleive thats her or not. First of all, I don't think she'd refer to herself as country/emo, I think she'd consider herself folk before anything else. Second, she said she lives in Alaska, US. It doesn't even mention the town, and I'd expect her to say TX or CA if anything. Also, the pics on there are ones anyone can get online, and there are hundreds of 'Jewel's on myspace with similar pages claiming to be the real her. I'd love it if she had a real page on there, a lot of artists do have real pages, but it's hard to tell the ones that are real. I'm positive this is a fake. If you're new to myspace, you'll soon realize how many impostors there are on there. I have "Lisa Marie Presley" on my friends list and it's not really her. I know this because I called the person behind it on some major mistakes about Lisa AND Elvis and she quickly deleted all the personal info and blogs that she had originally posted and replied to me telling me that she wouldn't tell me if it was really Lisa or not. She had posted AS Lisa that she had been divorced 4 times, when Lisa has only been married 3 times, etc., etc., etc. Myspace is really good for people that are trying to get there name out there and their music out there, though. But the real musicians are listed under Myspace Music and it's all official and everything. For instance, I'm very active on Joe Firstman's message board and all of us on the board convinced him to join myspace and he did and it's really been great for him. A lot of people have gotten to know his music through myspace.
