I'm just proud that she did what she wanted to do, and ventured out to see what she could do with other music styles. Hopefully we'll hear the new stuff soon...I'm so excited!!! I'm ready to hear a good summer song on the radio..ie.."Standing Still." love ya, shawney the hippie angel ___________________________________________________________________ Speed up your surfing with Juno SpeedBand. It's been a while since I've posted, but if anything was gonna get me talking again; it's a letter from Jewel!! ;o) Firstly, I want to say thankyou to Mark for posting it for us non-unedited people. Cheers for that! And secondly, let's not bring up all this 0304 stuff again. Let's just look forward to the new album. I nearly peed my pants when I read about '1000 Miles Away'. How LOOOOOONG have we been waiting for that to be on an album!? I'm hoping that when she said 'later this year' it means 'in a few months' lol. That's enough rambling for now. - -Lauren ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2005 09:15:37 -0500 From: Sasafrass Subject: Re: [EDA] Letter From Jewel Well said :) All artists try something different now & then with their music, so it's not unusual. It would make an artist very boring to listen to if they did the same kind of music all the time, & the artist would get bored doing it! Why should Jewel be an exception? I've been a fan since the moment I saw the WWSYS video on VH1, at my brother's house back in 96(I don't have cable at home). I had never heard of Jewel until then, & I joined this list only to find out POY had been out for 2 yrs. There are still many unreleased songs I haven't heard, but from what I have heard, there are some songs I like & some I don't. And the same goes for every CD I own. But I will always be a fan of Jewel, no matter what. 0304 may not have been a best seller, but I like some of the songs on it, & I won't stop supporting her just because of the songs I don't like. So you didn't like 0304. Fine, that's your opinion. But why complain about it? With every song we hear, whether it's Jewel or some other artist, we either like the song or we don't. It's not a crime for an artist to try something different. How many people can say they like every single song from a particular artist? I'd imagine very few. So don't be surprised if you don't like a song from Jewel. Even though you're a fan, you don't have to like every song she does. - --------------------------------- Visit my forums! http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/tvcafe http://dafc.conforums.com http://www.max452.homestead.com IxLNiCoLeIxL@aol.com wrote: >I don't exactly post on here but this evening I do have something to say... >Jewel is Jewel, good & bad.....
