The event was part of of the EveryDay Angel Foundation's "Project Warmth" - gathering coats and blanket for the homeless and needy. Amy and Dennis coordinated things, and Melanie excelled in collecting warm items for Covenant House, the beneficiary of this particular Project Warmth show. Allan and Leaf (and, I'm sorry, but I've spelled both names phonetically, and, I expect, wrongly!), Dan, Adrienne and all of us came together to celebrate Allison's NYC debut. We were most fortunate, in all ways, to be joined by Mr BB and his friend and colleague, Craig, who captured the night on audio/video tape. Now that my electrical power has returned, and I'm functioning beyond the snow line, I've posted some of the concert highlights as mp3s on Allison's website @ http://www.allisoncrowe.com/music.html These are songs of joy and peas (a reference which you'll understand once you hear the tracks!) It was a super friendly and intimate environment - and, there's lots of wacky banter accompanying the songs. Since returning to Canada, Allison has had one of the best-reviewed holiday albums of the year ~ and is looking forward to returning to NYC whenever the opportunity arises. We were thrilled to be able to host the first Project Warmth concert on Canuck soil, in Alley's home-town of Nanaimo, B.C. just before Christmas. The community loved it - and we hope to continue the tradition. Enjoy the music, and all moments. Peas! Adrian ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V10 #22 ***************************
