I've just discovered some info about the band she was working with. Apparently amongst the band were keyboardist Spooner Oldham (Dylan, Neil Young) who also played on some of the Pieces Of You tracks, Jim Keltner (John Lennon, Pink Floyd) on drums and Shane Theriot (Neville Brothers) on guitar. You can see a couple of pics of Jewel with the band at... http://www.shanetheriot.com/scrapbook.shtml (nb hit the "Previous" button a couple of times) Chris. http://www.jewelfan.co.uk : Jewel - Pieces Of UK http://www2.fanscape.com/jewel/streetteam/start.html: Jewel's Official Street Team ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Oct 2004 18:22:45 -0300 From: "Fabio" Subject: [EDA] Interesting website... Has anyone ever seen this website??? http://www.ectoguide.org/artists/jewel It's very interesting. It has some people talking about the old Jewel. Is any of those people still here in this list? Is any >of those people still here in this list? That site is hosted on smoe.org and was created by members of the Happy Rhodes list also (now) hosted at smoe.org. It's a pretty good resource for up and comers. Most of the people who submitted those comments about Jewel were on the EDA list in the early years (the EDA list will be ten years old this coming February). A few of them are still on the news list but I do not think any of them are on the regular list nor the digest list. I stil lchat with some of them from time to time. The Ecto-guide itself at http://www.ectoguide.org/ is a pretty good place to bookmark. You can even sign up for an update emailing they send out maybe twice a month.
