LOL! even tho im sure we had (back before she was hit with fame) lots of the same interests! i had horses, she had horses, we grew up in alaska, she loves to sing , i love to sing! but i in no way thought that she was even going to remember me, i was just curious if she remembers my family name mostly. and as for a meet and greet in the future i think i would gladly do it again. as long as i get to meet caitlin! she was the one that took us on the tour and her and i were able to talk quite a bit and i really liked her. she was very down to earth and very friendly and cool!! i think i enjoyed the tour with her just as much if not more than the 5 whole minutes i got to see jewel. and caitlin if you are reading this....... A++ and a big hug!! you did a great job. thanks alot for a great experience!! anyway..... just wanted to clear that up so no one thought i was this freak that was dissappointed and was going drowned in my sorrows cause jewel hardly said a word to me!!LOL! its totally fine with me. i understand the whole being famous thing and how you have to be cut off from the world so it wasnt that big of a deal. atleast i got to be in the same room with her and got a picture with her, so thats cool!! it sounds like all this EDA gathering is so far away from me...... maybe someday there can be a gathering in my new "neck of the woods"...... LOL.... michigan!! take care fellow angels! amy, the alaskan angel ! While Amy N. is a wonderful person, her memory, she is no so good! :-) Not only did Jewel say "oh, you have one of those TOO?", she practically begged me to let her see Woody a little closer AND borrow my Sharpie(R). Okay, that should have tipped me off, but you naturally trust Jewel until she betrays you, right? Fortunately she returned Woody and only swiped my Sharpie(R). What was it with that girl and her Sharpie(R) pen fetish anyway?!? Harris. Wow. A post from the elusive Sinjin. That can only mean three things: 1. Someone read the previous digest to Steve. 2. Someone explained it to him in short sentences. 2. Someone typed in his reply post for him. Hey, blonde surfer boys like Sinjin do have their limitations, you know... :-) I expect to see you at the October 23rd show, Steve. I'll even wear a shirt with a target on it, and refrain from dumping ice down your back. Deal? Harris. You guys lurked for the longest time. (Ibve been a little guilty of that myself.) Ibve been an EDA since 1998 and only recently started posting again. For those of us who donbt live on the East coast or in Southern California, and havenbt been able to travel to some of the bigger EDA gatherings such as the different recording sessions in New York, or the various Living Room Concerts, itbs still fun to hear the stories that come out of these gatherings. Getting the background on some of the inside jokes and nicknames is really appreciated. It helps for those of us who werenbt there but still want to enjoy the humor. Dennis, and others, has been very helpful lately in that department. Thanks. Distance seems to be the biggest obstacle to overcome in getting together personally for so many of our EDA friends. I live in southern Florida. Amy lives in northern Michigan. James, the middle of Indiana. And then there are the EDAs around the world. Too many miles for most of us. Most of the EDAs on the list never post. Thatbs fine. We all belong in our own way. I would however, like to strongly encourage even the shyest of EDAs to make an effort to meet other EDAs whenever you can. We probably have much more in common than just our love of bthe girlbsb music. Lara (an EDA from St. Petersburg) and I went to the Clearwater show together. Webd never met before, but had a wonderful time. No wild stories to tell but, it was much better seeing Jewel with someone else who gets her the same way I do. Are there really only 3 EDAs in the entire state of Florida?
