Does the milk from the werecows that hang out near >the why a ducks come from the cow-co-nuts? And why no a chicken? First, I believe it would be co-cow-nuts (being a pair and all, and giving them equal billing). Then again, that's not where the milk from. If, in your experience, that is where milk has come from, well, I think you've had a rather unconventional encounter with a farm animal, my friend! ;-) We really need to get you EDAs to a weekend retreat at the Heifer International regional center, where those particulars can be taught by qualified farm personnel. (<---serious offer) And why no a chicken? Noah was no chicken. He took two of every animal on a three hour cruise (except the dinosaurs he didn't like), only to find himself on an extended trip of 40 days (and free nights, if he used his AAA card). This included not only pairs of bunnies and Nemo-like clownfish (okay, I think he kept them on a stringer over the side of the boat), but lions, grizzly bears and tigers (oh my!)... what's more impressive is that he resisted the temptation of both MaryAnn and Ginger for a full three television seasons. Speaking of which, this upcoming TBS TV reality series is based on Gilligans Island: http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25908 Mike will gladly explain why-a-duck. In detail. And we shall listen respectfully, nodding at the appropriate times, and pat him on the hand should his eyes well with tears of joy. A man's gotta have his religion, and Mike has his! Or a happy one, depending on how I feel when I'm remembering it :) The setup: The 22-year old bum occupying the extra room in my house is pulling into the drive way, late, with a big grin on his face and informs me that "we're going on a mission." I hop in the Ford LTD, he pulls out and down the alley, around a few turns and comes to a halt alongside a neon yellow plastic man with a red hat, with "SLOW" stamped across his chest. I was instructed to open the door, "grab it!", we took off. Now, unfortunately this act potentially endangered the lives of children whose parents purchased the "SLOW" sign in an effort to make it safer to let thier unmonitored children --play in the street-- We almost took him back for that reason, but ended up keeping him, named him SlowMan, and took him on various travels throughout the summer. We live in Indiana close to the Michigan border, he visited southern ohio, kentucky, tennesee, as well as closer destinations in Michigan, Chicago, Indianapolis. We took videos with SlowMan and REAL cows, REAL farm people, and various other country things that a we few city kids thought were amusing. ***I realize that was all boring, I was just reminiscing.*** One of the more, or less, memorable experiences with SlowMan this summer was July 13th... Jewel in my home-town South Bend, IN. I took him with me down to the Morris Performing Arts Center, took him backstage to see Joe Firstman, took him back to the hallway outside the little dressing-room cube Jewel hid in, took a picture with our mascot, SlowMan, myself, and Jewel. She seemed rather terrified, with is sad given the stories about Woody, a traveling plywood cow with a history so colorful. She asked who SlowMan was a mascot for, and didn't seem to accepting of the idea that a group of people associated by friendship (as opposed to something less important, as in affiliation via a competitive sports interest) should tote around a 2 foot tall neon plastic sign. Sometimes tho, I'm just happy to have been arrogant enough to subject someone so 'precious' to the little practical joke of my inner circle. I never got the pictures from the velvet rope/stub hub people. How about whoever is going to a meet and greet next, ask Jewel herself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this would wrap it up, especially since this isn't the first time this has come up. I think that even though there appear to be skeptics to Mr. BB (being a fairly new eda, I am not sure who he is, but the old eda's have faith in him, so I must also), everyone ought to believe Jewel herself, right? Just my two cents :)<< No reason to bea skeptic of MrBB. MrBB started out his Jewel-life as an EDA like the rest of us here, but eventually was hired by her/her management for a rather large variety of things, most importantly being her offical Audio/Video archivist and an official member of the J-team (as we called her management). Because of that, among MANY other things, he has a Jewel database second to none. Nearly every show available since the mid 90s, certainly every show since 1997, every set list, and in the Jewel vaults, which he oversees, has recordings of a vast majority of those. Also, for a long while he was the author of JeweLink (the official Jewel email newsletter) and also did a lot of the updates on her web page. Mike P.S. It was actually Jewel herself who inadvertently in an indirect way gave MrBB his nickname, at JewelStock. I'll look it up later today who on the list was the first to actuall use the term/name "MrBB" on the list. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Sep 2004 14:41:31 -0400 From: shawneyeda@juno.com Subject: [EDA] "Alice In Wonderland" hello!
