That was before any negoations. So theres a lot that goes into which places are picked, and if its her management or Label has any control we dont know. Still i saw Jewel in 99 at Shoreline Amp, which holds like 25,000 people. Last year, over 450,000 entertainment lovers flocked to see such superstar performances by the Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, Coldplay, James Taylor, Alan Jackson, and Neil Young.(*taken from www.shoreline.com) So that would be really cool to see the FULL band and a big Fun Concert, that was the Same year Jewel played in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco for the NOw and Zen fest, which also had Cake. As for Tours Sucking this year, check out Lollapalooza which just got cancelled, but now Perry is trying to keep it a float.
