Two or three years ago Amanda Marshall canceled a whole european tour (of which the tickets were 100% sold) to be an opening act for Whitney Houston in the states. Nobody believed that story in the first place. But it actually happened. I will not be very surprised if jewel is going to cancel shows to be the opening act for Madonna's show. However she will lose dedicated fans with those kind of actions. Some artists don't care about it. They try to think of a new audience. It is a wait and see. According to the tour schedules Jewel would only be only to do pretty limited dates. She does have extended periods of time off between legs so she'd be able to do SOME of the tour... but certainly not all. I also heard that Madonna isn't having any opening acts on this tour... but maybe she's changed her mind. If any part of that rumour is true, I'd say it'd be the part where she does a bit of Intuition during one of her songs... THAT I would love to see!
