It's at the Minneapolis convention center, which is where I saw her for the Women't Expo last year. So I called and did some checking today. One problem, the tickets range from $50 to $500 something cause it's a benefit. The $500+ dollar tickets would be front/center. $50 would get you "balcony" (which I think, if I remember correctly, is stadium style seating -- steep, and not a true balcony, yet behind regular seats). $75 would be last row center and the back on the sides. $135 gets you about the last 10 rows center and sides, $185 gets you about row 20 center and sides, and $260 gets you about row 10 center and sides. I think there was one more price range between $260 and $500+, which would be like row 5. All tickets on the sides for each price range are a little closer than the center ones for obvious reasons. They don't figure out specific seating until they are done selling as they push people up depending on sales. Therefore, everything above I wrote IS ONLY AN ESTIMATE of where your seat would be. But they also said that the sooner you buy, the better seat you get, within your seat range. They said the place holds 3400, and they usually get about 3000 people, which is kind of a bummer, cause I can't afford the better seats and was hoping (selfishly, I'm ashamed to say) that no one would show up so I could get a $50 ticket near the front!!!! I already spent too much for 2 preferred tickets through Unedited for the Sioux Falls show, so I can't go too high on this one, and then I also wonder if I get bad seats, if it's worth going at all. Can't decide! Anyway, the point is, for all you Twin Cities EDA's that weren't sure if you were going to be able to see Jewel this year, you can! And one great thing: the difference between the ticket you buy and the price of the actual ticket cost is tax-deductable. I think they said the $50 were actually $35 seats -- which means you can write off $15, but everything else is a $50 seat, so whatever you pay for the $75 seats and above that is tax deductable except for $50 of it. Go to www.pacer.com for more info. And PLEASE! Whoever goes, please tape and trade!!!!!
