The second one which was TODAY SHOW didnt turn out like they thought. JEWEL AGREED TO A LONG INTERVIEW AND A PERFORMANCE OR TWO during the show. When she showed up she was in a really bad mood. She gave a 5 min interview and refused to sing a note. Also my friend in AUSTRALIA went to see her live in concert last week in AUSTRALIA! He also said she was in a very bad frame of mind. He said she was asking the audience WHAT SHOULD I SING BECAUSE I REALLY DONT KNOW what you want. He said she really seemed fed up and it was a huge dissapointment to the crowd SO YOU SEE JEWELFANS!!! ANGELS can have their bad days and since swapping MANAGEMENT JEWEL Is not the same i guess anymore.. But okay this can be a mistake by jewel and perhaps she had a fight with ty.. So within 8 shows Jewel is in a bad mood, what will happen to jewel in the usa, if she does more shows?? I guess maybe the same, maybe not... Time will tell.. bye Michiel www.jewelkilcher.nl the nr#1 jewel fan site ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2004 10:39:24 -0500 From: "Nicole" Subject: [EDA] To: list, re: presales question Hi everyone. I should be able to clear up the presale confusion. Basically, there are 3 types of tickets available to UNEDITED. 1) General presale tickets - these are done through MusicToday, and you link to these presales from Grab Bag on jewelJK. You'll get your seat locations before you buy them. These presales generally happen 3-4 days before the public onsale. 2) Preferred Tickets - these are purchased through UNEDITED (FansRULE), and are located in the first 20 rows (unless the venue has casino seating or something, in which case we tell you which table). You won't see your exact seat location when you purchase though. You also receive an UNEDITED 'Leave the Lights On' T-shirt with your order. 3) Velvet Rope Backstage - this is also purchased through UNEDITED/FansRULE, and includes a seat in the first 10 rows, T-shirt and backstage pass, backstage tour, and meet & greet with Jewel before the show. I hope that clears up the confusion a little. Often the Preferred Tickets and Velvet Rope go on presale all at once, before the general presale tickets. Then the general ticket presales follow in shifts. That's why you saw the Lowell and Hampton Beach offers in that order. Thanks!! - - Nicole, Manager - UNEDITED ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2004 23:09:45 +0000 From: "Amy Emerman" Subject: [EDA] last reminder: great stuff at the Sha Sha tonight (2/24) Hey guys, It's snowy, it's kind of yucky out. you should want to stay home and crawl under the covers...but alas... THERE"S A PARTY AT CAFFE SHA SHA TONIGHT Music galore and poetry starting at 8pm. FREE. 510 Hudson between Christopher and West 10th. 1 or 9 to Christopher and walk west to Hudson. We will have Erik Balkey, Liz Moore, Lola Johnson, Jendi Reiter, Amy Emerman, Jack Hardy (with Bruce Balmer on guitar and Melanie Athena on bass), Athena Reich, Jeremiah Birnbaum, Frank Tedesso, Eric Schwartz, Christina Ward, Rachel Loshak, and MORE...not necessarily in that order. Rachel is a heaven sent goddess who will play bass and sing gorgeus ballads that she wrote. Lola's got the magic of the funky mama in her. Amy Emerman will do a song in Spanish with the lovely and talented AARON GILMARTIN on classical Spanish guitar. Then she'll do a Jack Hardy cover and an original, or two Jack Hardy covers. We'll see. Jendi Reiter will read from her new book of poetry A TALENT FOR SADNESS which she will have on sale. Jack Hardy will weave his magic in his very own special way with the help of Melanie and Bruce, a daring triad guaranteed to please and titillate the senses. (okay, I'm being very silly, I know). Rachel sang back up with Norah Jones at the Grammy's and she is just heavenly in case I hadn't mentioned that yet. What a voice...what an aura...beauty is in the house. Liz Moore is subtle and wonderful with her songs and Christina Ward is a rockin' bluesy mama with a voice that is out of this world. She will have a slide guitarist with her. Geez...I only have two seconds to finish this and I'm at work and sneakin' onto the email. If you haven't heard the new Norah Jones album, go buy it...if not just for Dolly Parton singing harmony with Norah on the playful and fun "Creepin' In" what else can I tell you? Jeremiah will be running the sound system tonight and will lend his sultry male vocals to a few songs of his own. Erik Balkey sings straight from the heart folky acoustic ballads. Frank Tedesso may do one little ditty as will Eric Schwartz if we're lucky. Who knows what else could happen. Dawn Landes is slated to be in the house as is Tim Robinson. All in all it will be quite a night. Since I'm off from work tomorrow I MIGHT be hitting the WHITE HORSE TAVERN afterwards with willing and able friends...feel free to join. Have a great week everyone, and take good care and see y'all very soon :)) Amy http://www.cdbaby.com/emerman _________________________________________________________________ Stay informed on Election 2004 and the race to Super Tuesday. http://special.msn.com/msn/election2004.armx ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2004 23:44:26 +0000 From: "Lauren Bennett" Subject: [EDA] North Charleston concert I have two extra tickets for the North Charleston PAC concert on April 8. I have been on 2 of the Velvet rope tours back in Nov. and boy did it SUCK! 200 bucks for 10 seconds with Jewel, and she was not into it at all... you literally had about 10 seconds with her.... just about enough time to say "Jewel i love you..." Snap a photo, then on your way. Also the attuide that Jewel was having about this, both times we were there. Also other People i talked to about it, said they would not pay that much again. So i guess if your really dying to meet Jewel for 10 seconds then its ok, but be warned that you maybe very disappointed afterward or having the feeling of being Royally ripped off. I met Jewel twice for FREE before that, and had a good amount of time to chat with her, and she was in better spirits. So just wanted to give a warning to all those out there that really want to meet Jewel, just not to expect too much.... It is Sad that there is a price on the chance to Meet Jewel, and makes those who cant afford it left out, and cheapens the experience... anyways just my 3 cents on the issue....check out my web site www.gotlocalmusic.com Kevin the CARNIVORE...
