Jewel's vocals only enhance every song she sings... she's not just showing off. He's just a jackass who can't recognise true talent when he sees it... and sorry, but almost every one in that theatre was totally moved by Jewel's performance last night. Can't he see that as being a beautiful thing? Why does he have to infer that we're all somehow duped into liking her cause ... ya know... we don't know any better. That's really an insult. I feel like writing to him and calling him a jackass... I don't appreciate my intellectual choices in art being condescended to by moronic, ignorant reviewer who is probably a failed musician, which is why he's a journalist. I mean I'm not a complete moron... I'm a cognitive person with the ability to make informed choices about what I like and don't like. Just because someone likes something and you don't doesn't mean that they've been somehow "tricked" into liking it. That attitude really pisses me off. Typical... anyway... oh well.
