Randy, Simon and Paula couldn't be expected to sit through 80 000 auditions... that's how many people audition. It doesn't make ANY sense that they would sit through all of those... there's just not enough time at all. So they have to be screened. And part of the enjoyment of the show is to see the judges rip into really untalented people! It seems cruel but that's part of the reason it's so popular. They want to show all sides of the audition process... the good people, the bad people etc.... it's reality TV after all! I think it's so funny!! Some people are so deluded.... Working an online business, I think I've met the cream of the crop when it comes to complete idiots that are in denial of themselves. There are MANY people out there that are just so totally out of touch with the real world that they have no clue who they really are. A lot of them always just listen to the positive things that are told to them and deny any and all negative things that are told to them. It's sad. I've said several times that it seems these days, especially in the U.S., the latest generation of 20-40 year olds are nothing more than gigantic spoiled brats. Not everyone, but a definite majority. All you ever hear anymore is so and so was offended by this and wants to sue, somebody over here got stared at the wrong way and wants the guy arrested, etc. It seems hard for people to deal with reality anymore. When people get in their face and tell them how they feel about a person without candy coating it, they sometimes go into extreme denial or freak out and go totally psycho. I've got one cyber stalker right now who keeps emailing me constantly because he feels I didn't talk nice enough to him when he asked me a question (because he came in insulting me on the question). Now he claims he has all the "organizations" after me and continues to write even though I don't even respond. Total weirdo. I deal with 100's of people every week now and it really gives you a sense of what is out there these days....and it's not good. Very sad. I have to agree as well, that it's obvious they PICK horrible people for the show just for entertainment value. People like to watch other people get ripped up. That's why all these shows now, especially on MTV, revolve around it - like Punk'D, Dismissed, etc. It all comes down to watching someone freak out or get told off. That's what makes the ratings right now. How many years have you been moderating this list? How can you POSSIBLY be amazed at how clueless some people can be? Haven't you been reading the emails around here? ;-) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2004 07:18:41 -0500 From: "Pupecki, Stacy" Subject: [EDA] what song is this? does anyone know this song that jewel sang back in 1995? here are the first 7 lines, thanks. If you see me speak without words Know that I am speaking of the wind If you see my words like winds Know that soft tongues cut through stone If you see my tongue like stone Know it's wisdom lies in silence If you see my wisdom lying in silence Stacy p. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2004 09:07:07 -0500 From: "Sandy" Subject: Re: [EDA] what song is this? It is "circle song". and this isn't to be rude, it's like 'teaching someone to fish'.... but people, if you wonder things, or are looking for something, whatever! be self sufficient, and before asking other people, open up www.google.com or another search engine, and look! I've never heard this song before....but all I did was stick the first two lines in google & voila, up it came! I just see people in general on the internet, in forums, mailing lists, chat rooms etc. who are always asking other people to find stuff for them, when it's so easy to do it yourself. ~ Sandy > does anyone know this song that jewel sang back in 1995? here are the first 7 lines, thanks. > > If you see me speak without words > Know that I am speaking of the wind > If you see my words like winds > Know that soft tongues cut through stone > If you see my tongue like stone > Know it's wisdom lies in silence > If you see my wisdom lying in silence > > Stacy p. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2004 13:27:24 -0500 From: GSBrumley@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] what song is this?
