I have to make this quick, because I need to get to sleep. The concert was pretty great. Jason Mraz kicked it off with some fun songs. The crowd really got into it. Then Jewel came on. She was wearing a cute pink quarter sleeve sweater. It looked soft. She wore a black short skirt, and had pink leather boots. She charmed the crowd. They were eating up her banter. =) They didn't even mind that she was telling them to be quiet. She actually said, "if the person sitting next to you is talking, it's okay to punch them." I don't think the crowd thought she was serious ;-p Here's the setlist: Little Sister Stand - false start. She started strumming the chords and people cheered. "Hold on. It's in the wrong key. Don't get too excited. ::strum:: Okay, we're not gonna do Stand anymore. We're gonna do Hands." Hands - "in the end, only kindness matters . except if you're talking during my songs" 2 Become 1 - "I wish Star would up the rotation" Foolish Games - she didn't hit her usual notes. I was a little disappointed with FG tonight . she could do waay better Intuition - "I think people were scared off by this song. Maybe it was my dancing. Heeey . I can be a good dancer and be lyrical!" "Hey DAD! I'm talking to my dad. Really. Don't leave yet. Don't leave after YWMFM. Leave after WWSYS." Drug Bust Story - really really long. Longest version I've heard I think. YWMFM Chime Bells - with Atz! "Atz? Where are you? Dad? Did he leave me? Where are ya? Come on up!" I finally understood the words to the song! ;-) I think she meant to sing WWSYS, but ran out of time due to her really long story. The story's great, but when it's an ensemble type concert when each person has a set time limit, she should have cut down the story. Her dad was cute. He charmed the audience. He played guitar and in the middle of Chime Bells, he said something like, "you should know how hard it is to do this with two pieces of gum in my mouth." Elizabeth P.S. Sarah did great. She was getting over the flu (like everyone), so her voice wasn't in top shape either. She did Fallen, Possession, Ice Cream, Angel (ugh .. there was an annoying girl singing loudly behind me), some love song I don't remember, and Building a Mystery. I don't remember much of what she did. Matchbox 20 was also good. They're pretty fun live. The lead guitarist is awesome! Very good guitar player. They did a great version of If You're Gone. It was just the guitarist and Rob Thomas. It was pretty. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Dec 2003 23:44:34 -0200 From: "Fabio" Subject: [EDA] Missing This Way photo Have you guys seen this picture yet?? http://www.jewel.com.br/Fotos/This_Way/Laying1.jpg It's awesome!
