I loved it, for obvious reasons, lol. I also recommend that everyone read the site's reviews for PoY and Spirit and her singles as well. http://www.furia.com/twas/ArtistsJ.html And its way too early for us to be discussing this yet, but oh well lol: And as for Run 2 U being the second single, I love it too, especially between the 1st and 2nd chorus, but I don't think it has as much potential as something like Yes U Can. I think the chorus of Run 2 U ruined it for me a little. It was kinda repetitive, but I listen to the song over and over just for the verses. Yes U Can definately has the biggest hit potential. Its just that great. I don't know about you old timers (harhar) out there, but I LOVE the little hint of 80s thats thrown in there, and everything else about the song. She doesn't hold back her voice at the end of Yes U Can like she does on some other singles like Stand (I'm addicted to it, but you've only heard Stand the right way if you've heard it live. Preferrably on Jay Leno lol.) Anyways, Yes U Can has definately got hit potential written all over it! Its got the hooks and the vocals and that sweet 80s tinge. I think I remember someone mentioned a while back that the iTunes store was offering it or something like that and it was being downloaded like mad. Its just got the fun and sexy feel that Jewel wanted you to have when you listened to 0304. After Stand, she doesn't need to prove that she's still socially aware or thoughtful on 0304, because that showed everyone that she is. Stand was even referred to as the WWSYS of 2003, and yes, it was. The chorus wasn't "trite" or bland. It was just what you get when you translate that kind of song to pop. Its damn catchy and simplistic, but it says exactly what Jewel want's to say, while it still gets a bit deeper in the verses. Although it makes you look clever, you don't need to fill a song with metaphors and deep pondering questions for it to be good song writing. Once in a while its pretty neat to be simplistic. Hearing Jewel sing "Promise me now, I'll promise you too, I love you~" with such extreme sincerity in 2 Find U gets to me just as much as any metaphor ever would. And yeah. Look how sidetracked I got! So much for writing a short message. As usual.
