Angels PLEASE READ dude.. it's not that bad.. lol .. i've read some pretty bad comments on Jewel, but the interview sounded very much like the Jewel i read about in 'Revealing Jewel'; very sarcastic, twisted sense of humor... the interviewer didn't even make that bad of comments about her. just questioning whether she was serious or not.. thats the best! lol Kira -the buttercup angel- By The By, Melee- you're a COMPLETE nut! we need more random people like you to lighten up this list! :D ::big round of applause for the Lily White Breasts Angel:: LOL ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Oct 2003 03:45:40 -0500 From: "Lew - New World Warehouse" Subject: [EDA] Evil Boobies You know what - I don't care if I offend anyone on this - I think it's just ridiculous to begin with. I back up Michiel on this. I like Jewel's boobies too. Does that mean I don't like her music ? No. Does that mean I don't respect her as a woman ? No. That means I think she's got nice boobs. Gasp - - oh no, what's he saying ? That's impossible right ? We can't like a girl's boobs and still respect her, huh ? I found that it's something that seems to be a bigger deal in the U.S. than anywhere else. For some reason, the "Evil Boobies," over here seem to be more dangerous than violence, killing, rape, etc. You can post a big picture of some bloody body or someone getting shot on a magazine such as Time, Newsweek, etc - and that's ok for public consumption. But then, if you have a woman that is still DRESSED, but just a little risque on the cover of Maxim, now it's not appropriate for sale at a Wal-Mart. I'm a musician who likes good songwriting - that's why I listen to Jewel. I'm also a guy that likes sexy women - that's why I like her boobs. Do I have less respect for her because of the photos - nah. Don't really care - - if she wants to flash her boobs, go for it. Big deal. I'd have less respect for her if I found out that she was PAID to intentionally do it. That would be selling your dignity which I think is cheap. If you do it because you just feel like it - now that's your own choice and it's her right. Too many people paint this image of her and when she doesn't stick to it (even though SHE didn't create the image), they get all mad and pissy. Summary - I still respect Jewel. She's got great music and good boobs, and I like both. There ya go. Haven't been following the list much lately, but happened to see Michiel's post and followed the link. Yikers! Was that Jewel's cowboy she was getting frisky with? I couldn't tell from the top of his baseball hat. I was sitting in an office and when those photos came up I shut the screen down immediately lest anyone think I was looking at soft porn! Not making any judgements as Jewel will be Jewel, and apparently Michiel will be Michiel, but I was a bit taken aback at the raciness! Correct: Got the maple syrup. Revelation: My friend sang it wrong while we were in the car, and we had to pull over because we were laughing so much. We kept picturing the Dunkin Donuts guy wandering around, mumbling "Gotta make the syrup." (submitted to kissthisguy.com by Ali) wow, i guess people had problems w/ YWMFM lol! I'm sure I messed that one up too, so I shouldn't say anything! Has anyone ever heard CORRECT lyrics and thought that they were wrong?? This about the whole "why didn't she know there was a camera, it's a photobooth" thing that everyone keeps commenting on. I think that people are mistaking the fact that the "photos" aren't actually photos, they are video captures. So, yes, she was aware it was a "photobooth", because they went in there to take the regular pictures that celebrities do for their wall or whatever... but there is also a video camera in there, which is what they were caught on. The photobooth, like any photobooth, does not take pictures by itself, which is why, when they weren't 'taking pictures', she probably had no idea anyone could see what she was doing...
