Im sure many EDAs are hoping I do just that, but not going to. You justified the addition of IGNORANT to the subject heading of this thread. Seriously. You honestly think she owes you anything because you buy her CDS. That youre her masta. You bought her CD out of choice, not because of some agreed contract between you and her, or because you had to. This idea that musicians work for us because we put money in their wallet is typical modern American greed ideology. Jewel puts together a CD and makes it available to purchase. If you purchase it, it is your choice. There is no said contract that you are purchasing it under the agreement that she is a paid employee of yours. Im sorry its very hard for me to believe that a fan of Jewels would think this way, at least any fan that has the slightest understanding of what Jewel sings about. SHE OWES US NOTHING. I would hope no musician anywhere would change themselves, specifically their music because of some FALSE belief they work for us, or owe us something. It is at that point that their music is no longer honest and that their art lacks intimacy. She is an individual that answers to no one but herself. They're from the "Bowling with Jewel" thing a while back. I went and it was a letdown because they made it sound like we'd get to meet Jewel. But anyway, it was fun I guess. http://www.jojoontheradio.com/gallery/cat.asp?iCat=67 Elizabeth Thus conscience does make cowards of us all; And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought - Shakespeare, "Hamlet" ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V8 #436 ***************************
