Who knows...it could be that the first couple of shows may be cancelled and rescheduled later..or the whole thing may be cancelled....however one thing you can be sure of is that something like this throws alot of chaos into the lives of everybody involved and for some chaos is putting it mildly. So I think we owe Jewel and her people some patience and understanding at this difficult time and try to be patient ourselves. It is unfortunate that all these other changes have taken place roughly at the same time as something so tragic and the main means of communication thru her website is in the middle of re-vamping so it can be frustrating not to hear anything...but I am sure as soon as it is possible we will be offically told. So just be patient and remember to keep T-bones family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. They just needed the confirmation from her management. 9:30 management knew this was going to happen after the first shows announced cancellations with the others at the end of the tour cancelled as well. LOL, no this idea was around longer than she was. It's just common knowledge really. I was called a slut in school and I talked to one of the guys passing this around and he said "Just the way you dressed the other day, parading yourself around for everybody to see." Here's the kicker: The other day, I was wearing something similair to a track suit. Oh yeah, hanging it all out. *rolls eyes* I'm just saying that I'm unclear on what the problem is. Does that mean that it is > cancelled? And if so, what happens with the tickets? > okay, first of all, the concert dates might not all be "cancelled" they might just end up being postponed, possibly until sometime in the new year. I can't see her cancelling the entire tour, but I could see her postponing it indefinately, until they all get a chance to deal with their feelings regarding his death, and also to find a new bass player & become comfortable playing with him. we will not know for sure if she is just postponing the tour, or actually cancelling it until we hear an official announcement. fyi, in all circumstances where I have bought tickets for a concert that was postponed, you will be given two options, you can either hang on to your tickets, and use them for the new date, or you can go get a refund if you want. I'm sure it will probably hold true for these concerts as well. ~ Sandy ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Sep 2003 17:52:56 EDT From: Dave0828@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Ticket Refunds It is Ticketmaster policy to give refunds at the place of purchase. In the event the phonecharge or ticketmaster.com was used customarily a full refund will be issued automatically (minus shipping charges). Yes - minus shipping charges - don't shoot the messenger. I have also seen Musictoday use the same policy. So - any tickets purchased online will likely receive an automatic refund. Musictoday can usually be reached for information at tix@musictoday.com - Ticketmaster.com lists contact information for each of their customer service telephone numbers if you click on the link to "Contact Us", you should be able to find the appropriate phone number to your area. You should probably be patient and give them a few days. They don't usually update all of their information and policies as quickly as the fans learn of cancellations. That should just about do it. How about turning the cd into art? Take the cd, a light source (the example was done with a 25w bulb) a camera and play around with the pretty colors. See the example at: http://www.villagephot os.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=479772 (lol, and the cd can even be played afterwards... unless your light source is a candle! :-) ) (Cannot remember if this was on the site, forgive me if it was) A handy dandy coaster to keep your drink from dripping on the table. or Cut the disc into tiny squares and use them to make a mosaic of whatever you choose (though I guess the reflection would only really work for sky or water.) or Add some holes on the edges, some string and another cd (an AOL disc would work, or in a pinch, Spirit) and now you have some really ridiculous looking glasses to wear on Halloween. or Take a file (or to save time, a bench grinder) and urn the disc into a $14.99 bag of sparkly faerie dust/glitter. Run around your friends sprinkling you new magic dust over them. If you have a pair of those angel wings, wear them :-) or Too set in your ways to buy a cd player? Are you one of the three people that have 0304 on cassette? Well, now you do not have to feel left out! Remove the tape from the case (try not to tangle it during this process) Now cut the tape into equal lengths. You can now braid it into bracelets, necklaces, or even anklets! Maybe even a belt! If during this process you feel like you are Tom Hanks in Cast Away, then you can recreate the island experience by taking all your copies of 0304 (oh please, you know you bought one for your car, one for the house, one for your mate, another for the Walkman) and weave "native clothing." Now run around your block with mud on your face screaming "Look what I have created! I have made... Mini Skirt! Do you hate me because I'm Pieces of You?" I am very greatful for his contribution to Jewel's music. If people send me short notes to be included I will try and put together an email or card from the EDA's of our condolences to send to Jewel/J-Team and one for T-bone's family. Aneurysms are fairly common and are mostly genetic. Diet, stress, and the amount of exercise you get can all contribute. Cerebral (brain) aneurysms can also be caused by a bump to the head. - VAB ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V8 #396 ***************************
