You know it kinda gives you a little perspective. We're sitting here whining about a few presales and Jeweljk.com and meanwhile some guy just lost his life. He seemed like a really nice dude and added a lot to Jewel's band. I'm sure he'll be missed. Steve. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2003 01:54:46 EDT From: ReducedToYou@aol.com Subject: [EDA] look at it THIS WAY, angels!!! i just wanted to add something slightly positive for some of you to think about; SO WHAT if Jewel just happens to steal some Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera fans! they'd be introduced to music with ::gasp:: a good beat and SMART LYRICS! there's hope yet for those teeny boppers!! in a way, Jewel's saving us; just maybe we won't live in a world of dense tweens listening to songs about being a 'Slave 4 You," or feelin 'Dirrty.' The world could actually turn into a place with INTELLIGENT teenagers!! ::tear drop of happiness:: LOL. okay i'm done. i think too much. -Kira the 'Becoming' Angel PS: please don't post things like "heeey, i listen to Britney Spears, yet i still like Jewel, and I'M not stupid..etc.etc." just laugh it up with me! ;) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2003 01:56:41 EDT From: ReducedToYou@aol.com Subject: [EDA] L.A Angels any Angels in the Los Angeles area; Star 98.7 is giving away tickets to see Jewel Live in Georgia.. listen to the station for details.. i'm not sure if the contest is over or whatnot.. i think it might be a weekend thing?? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2003 03:54:57 EDT From: DavsAngl@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Re:T-Bone OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I Cannot believe this at all! This is truly the most distressing news to hit this list! T-Bone was indeed as Mr. BB said...the backbone of Jewel's band and one of the coolest people and very friendly to fans. I was one of the priviledged people to have met him at several Jewel shows over the past year and he always had at least a nod and a smile if you were not within talking distance. Oh--- he is gonna be truly missed ---he was the Bomb! Oh I can't think of anything else to say intelligently right now -- so shocking !! Thoughts and prayers with T-bones family and those that knew him better than us. Thanks to Mr. BB for letting us know. He did perform with Jewel on the Leno show to perform Stand and now a couple of weeks later he is not there anymore. Terribly sad, and a big loss for the Jewel band. He was a funny guy and i always remember how he remembered me when i was at shows or how kind he was in front of stage and always made his finger so now and then point to me and played amazing bass player sets on his guitar he will be missed and i hope that his soul will last forever. Aids is such a terrible dissease, i dunno but aids can be that deadly is just cruel. having numerous sexual adventures may cause aids or a blood transfusion, but it is sad. Magic Johnson has also aids , the big basketplayer but is still there..Dunno why one is dying earlier than another from aids, just wondering. On my site http://www.jewelkilcher.nl/ you can watch jewel and tbone in action on my tour section pages! bye Michiel the dutch # 1 jewelfan http://www.jewelkilcher.nl ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Sep 2003 04:55:53 EDT From: SullMa84@aol.com Subject: [EDA] In Memory Of T-Bone, please read I have made a small website, nothing much, just plain and simple, as a small tribute to T-Bone. It sounds likek rip off, just like ticket master. I can't believe Jewel tickets are so expensive. When did concert prices get so high. But I dont' know why I care, she's not coming to Pittsburgh. I can only hope when the website is up and running again they will announce a Jewel concert in Pittsburgh, otherwise I will miss this tour =(!! Oh well, Just my 2 cents. I really enjoyed watching T-Bone up on that stage. He always seems like he was having a blast and was so personable with the fans and audience. There were many occassions when I would wait around after the show and he would stop by to talk. He was a lot of fun, and always very friendly. Not to mention what a heck of a bass player he was. All i know is that Jewel concerts won't be the same without him there.
