I think it was in June, but I don't actually remember the month. But it was in Manchester Center, VT and Steve was there opening, and they sang together.... also a little girl went up on stage to sing down, and she and Jewel both forgot the words :-) I heard a rumor that it was broadcasted on a cable station, but I never saw it. Figured this was the best place to start looking :-) Lemme know! ~Kris~ The Singing MASS Angel E2-O: This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by UML's antivirus scanning services. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 23:21:44 +1000 From: Barry Howarth Subject: [EDA] Re: Standing Still: The Movie? Hi Angels, Maybe this is the movie that Jewel said in an interview on Australian radio not so long ago that she'd be doing at the end of June. The other movie is "Wave", which she said in that same interview wouldn't be done for a couple of years. She was trying to get Goldie Hawn to direct it and she had set up her own company to produce it. Take care, Barry Howarth "And it's driving me crazy not having you, baby, to keep me company in my own private world. You're my one true girl." Well, I look up on the internet a bit, and I think they are currently filming the movie, so yeah, it does exist. Its an indie-comedy. I could not find any mention of Jewel though. Perhaps the movie features the song or has a brief cameo. What happened to that movie we heard of about Jewel acting as a rock star fighting over custody of her son? Was that role/movie ever verified? Wasn't that going to be filmed this summer? LeBlanc" Subject: Re: [EDA] pre sale tix Hey Everone, word to the wise with pre-sale tix.... Right now I'm getting screwed over by musictoday or whatever the dumbass ticket company they are going through for pre-sales... First, my story, then the information to be weary of... Okay, so the day of the boston presale... I was looking and looking for decent tickets like everone else, and at first I got stinky seats so I kept trying. I finally got row D (4th row! woohoo!) and I purchased them... the website SAID fourth row... Row D... I get my confirmation e-mail telling me I had bought my tickets, but the e-mail said ROW K with seats on the far end... I thought this was just a mistake, but to be sure, I kept looking on the presale to see if the tickets I THOUGHT I had bought were really bought... Low and behold, My two tickets i supposedly had just purchased came up. I quickly nabbed them yet again because there was a mistake, and I get that confirmation e-mail. I e-mail the ticket company telling them that their website loaded incorrectly, ( i wish I was on my macintosh so i could've taken a screen shot of the website telling me row k w/the time and date but i wasn't. i was on my damned PC) and THEY NEVER RESPONDED... Before I continued to look for my seats to make sure that the e-mail was also a mistake, I e-mailed them back asking them to confirm the seat locations... well they e-mailed me back to respond to that e-mail, but they never e-mailed me back when I questionned them about the incorrect purchase... Of course it took them 2 weeks to respond to that e-mail as well.... Now for the WORD TO THE WISE.... According to the law, they are not supposed to charge you for the tickets UNTIL THE TICKETS GET SENT OUT IN THE MAIL TO YOU.... Well, I got my credit card statement today and guess what! I had not one, but TWO CHARGES for tickets on my freaking credit card... And do I have any tickets in hand? NOPE! And granted, the confirmation e-mail states that the tickets will be shipped one week prior to the event, and if that is true, they are breaking some major laws by charging the account if they have not sent out the tickets yet... And yes, I have done my research... unless there's some tiny clause I've missed, they are breaking the law. In regard to my personal problem, I am calling the company tomorrow to dispute the charge for the two tickets that were THEIR mistake, and if they don't take off that charge, I have my mother(yes i'm a youngin not that young though-college kid) calling the credit card company to dispute the charge.... so yeah, that's my ranting and raving for the evening.... If you want to make a screen shot on PC, here is a quick step-by-step: 1. Press the 'Print Screen' key. This will 'copy' the screen image to the computer's memory (or to the 'clipboard', if you would rather). ***(Make sure that you do not copy or cut anything else in any program until you finish with this.)*** 2. Open a picture-editing program such as Paint. (I use Paint as an obvious example b/c it comes standard with Windows.) 3. Once Paint opens, simply press 'CTRL+V' to 'paste' the image (or you could also open the 'Edit' menu in Paint and choose 'Paste' from there). 4. Save the image. And that's it. Honestly, to see it written down like this it looks like a lot more than it actually is. Once you've done it a time or two, you'll be an expert at it. I wrote it with great detail for those who find computers to be completely frustrating, but really the simple version would only read: 1. Press the 'Print Screen' key. 2. Open Paint (or a picture editor of your choice). 3. Paste the image. 4. Save. So see . . . it's not so bad after all! Hope this helps in the future when you are stuck on your "damned PC!" =) Dave The Lurking Angel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Jul 2003 05:16:41 +0200 From: "=?iso-8859-1?Q?emilie.bozon@laposte.net?=" Subject: [EDA] =?iso-8859-1?Q?oops?= of course I meant $8 for shipping and not 48 !
