I think she is really good, she has a new cd coming out soon. Everyone should listen to the couple of songs that are on her website. Mine!! ;) When I was at the store the person who worked there said she has the cd and that it is very different, but catchy. I bought it monday, and waited a while to write what i thought about it, b/c it is very different, and the first time i listened to it, I didn't like it too much. I can't say that this is my favorite or 2nd favorite cd by her, b/c all of her cds are very different from one another, except "Spirit" and "POY." This cd is very ecelctic, I thought it would be more poppy. I wouldn't mind if she did another cd like this. It's very fun and happy (except "Haunted".) I like how she does the liner notes. STAND: This song should be the 2nd or 4th single. I like the lyrics a lot. At first I hated how she sings the chorus, but now I love it she sounds so cute!! I love the beat, it's very urbanish. The song sort of reminds me of "Do You." RUN 2 U: Sounds like Jewel's old stuff. Reminds me of The Corrs. I love how she sings it. Would be a great club hit. I love it! LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON: I LOVE THIS SONG!! Love the jazz sound. Sounds like Carolyn Dawn Johnson's song "Complicated." Very catchy. I love how she sings it!! Should definately be a single, maybe the 3rd single. It's very sexy, and I love the little rap sounding part. 2 FIND U: I love this song!! Reminds me of "Standing Still." Great lyrics! Very catchy. Great beat! It should be a single, even though it's very different from "Intuition." It's a fun song! FRAGILE HEART: Sounds like Mandy Moore. Catchy. I like the "Fishes in the sea.." line. I love how she sings the bridge, it sounds like her old stuff when she sings that part. Love the whistling. Sounds like my grandmaw. DOIN' FINE: Sounds like "Cleveland." Sounds kind of countryish and like The Corrs. When she says "If you look..," it's sounds like the Reading Rainbow theme song. It's a catchy song. 2 BECOME 1: Love this song! Sounds like an 80s song from some movie, and I can't think of the song and it's driving me crazy!! I love the words, very sweet!! Sounds like old Jewel. Reminds me of "This Way." I love how she sings the last verse and "you belong to me." HAUNTED: OMG! I LOVE THIS SONG! It's very different from anything I've ever heard! It's dark, lol. Should be on a soundtrack for a psycho movie. Love how the beat changes when it gets to the chorus. Reminds me of "Nicotine Love" and the bridge reminds me of "Steve McQueen. Doesn't sound like Jewel. Reminds me of a psychadellic 60s song. Love the rockish part in the bridge, and the screaming!! WOW!! I love the end, but I wonder how she does that moaning in the studio, lol. This would be a wonderful single, but the beginning is a little too slow. SWEET TEMPTATION: Sounds like No Doubt/80s song. She should have rocked her voice out in the chorus. Good beat. Doesn't sound like Jewel. YES U CAN: Love it!! Very punk-rockish. Should be the 2nd or 4th single. Reminds me of No Doubt/Jefferson Airplane. Very catchy. Love the hand clapping. Great beat! Very feisty when she says shut up, lol. Psychadellic/80s sounding. It's very fun and different. Love how the whole song changes throughout. U & ME=LOVE: Love the lyrics, it shows Jewel's funny side. It would be better if she didn't say the "u..me..love" part. Very cheesy! The song sort of reminds me of "Sunshine Superman," except "SS" is better. This is probably my least favorite song on the album. It reminds me of 2gethers song. AMERICA: I love the lyrics to this song!! The beat is very punk/rockish. There is something that I don't like about this song though, haven't figured it out yet. It would be a good single, but I don't know if other people would like it. It would cause a lot of controvery though!! It shows Jewel's sarcastic side. It sounds like an 80s/riot song. I wish she would have said fucking!! BECOMING: Sounds like "2 Become 1" and "2 Find U." Sounds like old Jewel except for the beat. The song is very relaxing after hearing all of the other songs. Love how she sings "I am hurt..born." Sounds like a Madonna song. I'm glad that she wrote a song for herself. love ya, shawney the hippie angel ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! It was the MTV journalist who make the Jewel connection to her remark. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Jun 2003 21:54:46 -0300 From: "Fabio (wnet)" Subject: [EDA] Single sales The Intuition cd-single has been selling very well and steadily. This week, it drops from #4 to #7, but only because of the 2 huge debuts by Clay and Ruben. It sold 6368 copies (6655 last week), with a total of 38420. They made her look cheap and even said "some are say she is a sellout." They said that" it might be working cause her Album is doing well." I was just getting over the Jewelblues joke and now we get this on national TV. no less. I am really starting to think that perhaps Jewels playing with her image may not working out for the best. The entertainment reporting media appears to be greatly distressed with her new image and music. So, those are probably the one's that atlantic is considering for the next single. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
