I mean, I bought the album, I'm listening to it all the time, and I'll probably learn all the lyrics by heart, but that's just because she's earned my respect w/her old albums. It's definitely a "fun" album, fun to listen to, and probably fun for her to do, but I miss just her and her guitar! Or some of the more "raw" stuff we saw on This Way. Blah. I guess I'll just listen to this one for awhile, accept as kinda fun but not very deep and wait for the next CD that might show off Jewel's full potential. If you miss it - listen to some bootlegs or POY.:) Becuase.. Every other album, besides POY, has been way over produced. This Way is about as produced as 0304 in terms of her with just her guitar. Something to beef it up. And on Pieces of You, she did sing "sweety pie" on some songs, but #1.) It fit the songs better and 2.) There are some songs where she SINGS. She belts out the notes and you feel it. I don't feel anything from this album. It doesn't make me feel happy, and it doesn't make me want to dance. Actually, it kind of makes me sleepy. After getting used to Intuition, I was actually looking forward to the new album. Now that I've heard it, I'm disappointed. Like I said, maybe it'll grow on me. But I'm looking forward to her next album and hope she makes it soon... Christy the Tattoed angel "I don't think they are musically soulless at all. Jeez, people - can't a girl just have some fun? I'm in no way slamming you, but some people need to be more open minded. I'm not usually into all this dance PHAT beats stuff, but half of this CD is pretty awesome. I really like the songs that are newer, but some of the songs sound too much like Spirit, which is my least favorite album. 0304 accomplishes exactly what Jewel wanted by making the album - for people tolisten to it and feel happier. Another thing - all sweety pie? Have you heard any of Pieces of You?" ===== "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams." __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Suddenly I hear acordian music. I think that it can't be true because they have never ever played a jewel song at one of our dances. I'm so disappointed w/ the new album. There's nothing on it that I'll remember, or listen to more than once or twice. In fact, since I've bought it, I've listened only twice. Right now, I'm listening to POY and missing the "old Jewel." Granted, I love her lyrics, but they aren't the only reason I listen to her. I love Jewel because she was a girl w/ a guitar and a mission. Now she's a "pop princess...." Still waiting for a solo acoustic album! It's a complicated issue and we have contacted Atlantic Records to find out what happened and why those of you who pre-ordered or purchased it during the first week did not get the limited edition with the download card, including those who pre-ordered from us. First, here's what happened: The first run of "0304" was supposed to be a total of 500,000 copies, all of which were to be limited edition versions with the download card. This is why we were able to promise that those who pre-ordered from us would get them. Unfortunately, Atlantic had an additional 70,000 copies pressed without the download card, and these were distributed simultaneously with the limited editions. We were not informed of this until after the Jewel Emporium pre-orders had already been sent to you, and we have spent all week working on a solution. Here's what we're capable of doing about it: If you pre-ordered the album from the Jewel Emporium, not to worry. Thanks to the fact that we actually know who you are, you will be helped without anything required on your part. You will be receiving an email during this week with a unique PIN code to access the download card content. We are also working on granting you access to the two downloadable bonus tracks. If you purchased it from anywhere else, and have questions or complaints regarding the download card, please send an email to dlcard@jeweljk.com. This email account will be operational through this Tuesday, 6/10, and we will try to help you by forwarding your messages directly to Atlantic Records for resolution. If you have not yet purchased the album, be sure to look for the stickered version that says it's a limited edition right on the front. ******************************************** ***REMINDER: JEWEL AT THE NBA FINALS TONIGHT!
