If I type the address as jeweljk.com, I get the old site. If I type it as www.jeweljk.com, I get the new site. My desktop resolution is 800x600, and using both Netscape 7 and Internet Explorer 5, the new site is shifted downward, so there's maybe an inch thick black bar at the top, and whatever is at the bottom is cut off. First of all, I'm not entirely sure what 0304 is supposed to mean. A reference to the year, the day she came up with the album title, or her ATM pin number? ;-) Second of all, I love this album. I have finally listened to all of it and I'm in love. I was skeptical of the Avril Lavigne-type song titles and of the direction she was heading, but I'm officially hooked. Not sure of my favorite yet, but I'm definitely having a great day at work listening to this album. Yes, it's very different from what she's done in the past. And I'm not sure if I can call this my favorite Jewel album. But I like when artists experiment with what they are into rather than just recycling the same stuff over and over again. Sometimes it flops but sometimes it works. Taking the risk is what counts. I tend to go through phases myself as to what I listen to. (I listened to nothing but Heather Nova's Siren all last week and this week started with The Chieftains.) I'm also a big Tori Amos fan (see my sig), so I suppose I am used to the way her albums vary. And sometimes I'm totally in the groove with Tori's album and sometimes it takes a while for me to be ready. It took a year before I became obsessed with her To Venus and Back, but I loved Scarlet's Walk from the moment I heard it. So perhaps if you're not into the sound now, put 0304 away for a little while. Then take it out later and try it again. Re: download card. Has anyone been contacted by the Jewel store folks about the special site yet? I pre-ordered it and didn't have a download card either. P.S. I think my 3 year old daughter prefers This Way to 0304. The only way I can see the whole main page (probably the rest of the site as well) is if I put Internet Explorer into fullscreen mode. Also, the new calendar needs some tweaking... on the old calendar, if you clicked on "Today" it would scroll down to where the current day would be in the list if there were anything. Currently, if you click "Today" it just says "There are no events listed for this date." Personally, I think it is a great offering. We all did the website and CD survey thing a few months back and I see them offering just about all our requests. (At least they fulfilled mine.) Simply we want more content - movies, pictures, info - and developing that content cost a tremendous amount of money. Plus, when you have information that people want you should sell it. Why would an artist want to lock themselves into the very broken CD distribution model to make money when there are other ways to generate income from sub scriber services.
