Ok Guys Jewel is down to +63 in gains on the pop charts. She's extremely close to losing her bullet (decreasing in spins) and that will basically be the end of the song on radio. That would be SUCH a shame, because it's off to such a great "start" and it would be very sad for the song to stop gaining only 6 weeks into it's run.... We helped Standing Still peak at #22... this song has made it that far without us. We can drive it into the Top 10. All we really have to do is keep it going until the record comes out. At that point the press Jewel will be doing, combined with the radio station concerts should give the song an additional bump. HOPEFULLY, that bump will push her into the Top 15... and once she's there the song will probably run on it's own momentum for a while. So let's flood radio stations with requests for the next 3 weeks and keep the song alive. Plus keep voting at TRL! That will help! At this website www.allaccess.com, they have the results of the Ratethemusic surveys that are run by radio stations across the country. A lot of you have probably stumbled across them whilst trying to request Jewel. It's basically a survey run to try and collect data on who likes what songs etc... Anyway - according to the data, Jewel's demographics have had a major turnaround with this single. At both Hot AC and pop, Intuition barely registers in the Top 15 most popular songs amongst Females of all ages. However at both formats she's in the Top 5 most popular songs amongst males of all ages. Wow! That's a surprise. Females are generally considered Jewel's strongest demographic. I guess a lot of girls are turned off by the sexy new image, and a lot of guys are, well... turned on by it! Not surprising I guess, but still very different from what would be considered the "norm" for Jewel. Anyhow... these ratings show that audiences are responding to Intuition in some way.... even if it's not in the expected way... so it's not a lack of people liking the song that's holding it back on the charts. It's... well... who knows? I've been told that the phone-in requests have possibly not been as good as might be expected, and that could be a reason for the song not moving any further. So, all the more reason to get on it! Call and request! If everyone calls their local station once a day for the next two weeks I guarantee that we'll see a change. I swear!! The CD-single debuted at #7 on the singles sales chart, with around 5000 copies sold. That's not a lot of copies, but #7 is a decent position. Hopefully it'll keep selling. We need it to sell in order to keep her moving up the Hot 100, because her airplay is at a stand still, so she's gonna be stuck at around #50 unless she sells some more of the singles, or a miracle occurs with the airplay.
