Well... now that I've seen the video PROPERLY, I think I can rightfully comment on it!! I think it's AWESOME. Easily jewel's best and most creative video... She looks REALLY good throughout the whole thing... and even though I know the point is she's taking the piss... she still looks fantastic. Also I think she comes off really smart, and not at all trashy or "selling out".. it's brilliantly executed as a parody, and should be obvious to any non-blind individual with an IQ over 10... which is pretty much what is necessary. If there are people don't GET this video, Jewel doesn't need them as fans... simple as that. I love every part of it, seriously. The ads are all so good. I didn't notice how the homeless guy turns into the sunbathing guy in jewel's version of the "corona" ad... that's very clever. Also the Nike with the J as the swoosh... also clever. I loved how the protesters turned into backup dancers. And Jewel looked SO good during that part... and her dancing wasn't bad at all.... very well edited and the backup dancers did a good job of making her look authentic.. I was impressed. And the ending. WOW! Those dancers are raunchy!! Totally hilarious. Also the american flag bikini is a nice touch. At first I thought it was like a "support the troops" thing but now I'm thinking it's more like "the all american girl" or whatever. Just a few little details I thought I'd mention - did you guys notice the magazine covers in the runway part? The headlines are like "Jewel's back!" and "Yodelling Tricks!" and, my favourite... "Alaskan Chic!" hahaha. I also loved in that part how the green light was a "Sexy girl"... Anyway... that's enough from me. Just saying I think it's a fantastic video! It's so exciting to see Jewel get creative in a medium that she's all but ignored. Most of her videos come across like she only did them cause she kinda had to.
