I really loved her outfit, by the way. I'm so glad she's ditched the belt buckles and jeans and is actually using that "incredible glam squad" to make her look interesting for a change!!! Her outfit/hairstyle reminded me of Gwen Stefani... kind of a retro 80's pop-punk look. I loved the yellow fishnets... hehe. Anyone have a screencap of her outfit for TRL? I thought the performance was good too. You can really tell the band have played together before. I remember the first few months of performing songs off This Way were kinda rocky... and then it got really good by the time they started touring. But all three songs, and particularly the two new songs sounded great. Extremely tight. I like the new song (To Find You)... very different to how it seemed from the clip. The chorus reminds me of Blondie a lot, oddly. The new music seems to have a lot of 80's pop-punk touches to it... which I like. It's nice to see Jewel embracing pop-punk sounds when they were actually good (one of the few things about the 80's I like!) rather than doing "punk music" ala Avril Lavigne or Blink 182.... as I was afraid she might when she mentioned it. I'm also glad that she's opted just to use loops and samples, and not to try and recreate the weird drum effects live. It would've required too many people, and a 5-person band is enough. Although I was very happy to see an accordian player there. I was expecting a cheap-sounding keyboard accordian noise... but no, we got a real guy with hippy dreadlocks and all! Anyway... it's nice to see Jewel out there again... and it's good to know there's way more to come! Bring it on! I was at the Today Show, standing behind Jewel (where all the guitars were). The crowd shots were always from in front of Jewel, so I couldn't be seen. But it's possible that I was seen in the background in a wide shot of Jewel. I am blonde with glasses, I was wearing an off-white Jewel tank top (from the Spirit tour) and jeans. Were there any other EDAs there? Someone previously mentioned that Jewel seemed sort of uncomfortable. I just wanted to mention that she did a warm-up of Intuition before the recording. At the warm-up, she had her hands behind her back and she was wringing them as if she were nervous. But then at the performance, her hands were in front of her, sort of gesturing with the lyrics and "dancing" (if hands can dance) to the beat. Then she did the next two songs the same way, excited to be performing! The Today Show kept saying another live Jewel song was coming up so I waited around, but they lied because the song that was played in the last few minutes of the show, I had already seen - the "live" song had actually been taped an hour earlier. Anyway, I took a few pictures when Jewel turned around towards me, and I also took a picture of the blue electric guitar she played. I hope they came out! I missed TRL though, and everyone is talking about what she was wearing in comparison to Today. So what was she wearing? Are there any links to pictures? I've already seen the video online (actually it was playing on all the TV's outside NBC studios after the show), but what did she say about herself/the song/the video/the album?
