I understand to a degree that Jewel's playing on the whole pop culture thing... But it's still pretty bad to see someone who I have (had? we'll see when I actually hear the album!) so much respect for do something that always pissed me off. I mean, it's okay when rappers do it, because they always have, but when someone else does it it just reeks of cheapness and desperation. I don't want people to think Jewel's desperate, which I'm sure a lot of "real" music fans will. As long as the songs sound good, though, it won't be a problem. Saying that though, I'm still not really liking Intuition. I hope the rest of the album is a step up from the single. 'U + Me = Love' is definitely one of the worst song titles I've ever heard. Ugh. And as for the fact that the European release of 0304 has been pushed back now - I really think this is a mistake. Any European fan who is going to buy the album will buy it on import, guaranteed. So it'll really affect sales... Unless, of course, Atlantic can do the impossible and make Jewel's worst single her biggest hit.
