PS - it does look better ... it's possible that their version is a scan, whereas the Jeweljk version comes straight off the system that designed it... often the print comes out differently than it looks on the computer, and things end up looking either better or worse. The amazon.com one looks better. As does the one at the Jewel Emporium actually.. I think it's partially the contrast. I'm dutch and a huge Melissa Etheridge fan. Saw Jewel for the first time on VH1-duets where Jewel was a guest at Melissa's show. Became addicted to the acoustic Jewel sound. I hope to keep things short now. That will not be easy. Last few hours I have read over 200 digests of this list. There was not enough time to read the posts earlier. After this extended lurking (longer than a year) on this list I feel the need to say something now. I will do that in some one-liners or sometimes a bit longer. This list definitely changed. Someone mentioned that a month ago and she is right. The group of friends changed by some fanatic people wanting the be the biggest fan. I will stay a member of this list to read the news and post concert-reviews. But I doubt if I ever will meet people again through this list. And that was the special thing back some years. The drive to meet people at concerts has gone. Too many of the same posts (same comments, same reactions, same subjects ....everybody knows what I mean!) by the same people in the last 200 digests. Annoying. The 96/97 shows will never fade in my mind. The shows from 98 till now are not catching my soul. The new single is not my taste. Again a disappointment. I had the same feeling after the release of This Way. The new album title 0304 doesn't give me hope as well. Without any creativity in my opinion. In the future I will go to the concerts in Holland for sure because of a matter of support to Jewel and the never ending hoping to get some feelings back from the "good old 96/97 times". I don't care about the looks of Jewel. I'm a fan of her music. But looking at the oscar awards pictures I must say that she looks charming. Last time at the dutch Pinkpop festival she was dressed without any taste. I hope the positive change will continu because it's better for my feeling at the concerts ;-). I read that the release of the new album is delayed. I was not surprised. Delays were the case with Spirit and This Way so it would be strange if this was not copied now. Two years ago I wrote more about the lack of good management in Europe. Europe could be a nice market for Jewel but more effort is needed. Management apparently decided not to choose to fight for Europe. That is ok. I will buy my records in the US. Strange that I have read just one post about a concert. That are the most interesting stories for every lister who was not there. I really would like to know how a concert of Jewel is setup nowadays and who the musicians are.
