Subject: Fwd: [EDA] Nedra's Message & Intuition IN Oz Nope, not just you...I thought that too! Sad thing is it's like she had to sit us all down and tell us that this schick thing ISN'T a bad thing. I'm sure they've seen the posts here lately about everyone freaking out coz 'oh my god-jewel is getting some backing from a razor company' ARGH. I personally think it's a good thing...she'll get lots more exposure this way. Anyway, don't complain-you get a free concert out of it!! ;o) Oh an another thing... Thanks for the heads-up about Intuition being released here Steve-that's great news! I say we annoy the crap outta radio stations and get it played lots!! hehe I'm thinking mainly Kyle & Jackie O because if Jewel gets on their playlist for the Hot30; it's pretty much guaranteed to be a hit! (which it will be anyway!) luv Lauren - ------------------------------ *~"ThEre'S OnLY oNE RiGht WaY; & iT'S mY WaY."~* - -JEWEL http://buzztone.atlanticrecords.com/jewel_intuition/ _________________________________________________________________ MSN Instant Messenger now available on Australian mobile phones. Dont worry Michiel, Jewel hasnt forgotten her roots. She will always be acoustic! This new album is just one experimental thing. I doubt Jewel is going to become more and more corporate, but maybe just something every now and then, on occasion only. Its a sad, hard fact, but money is needed to do what she is doing, and the record industry and Atlantic cannot provide it all. Also, on the Maxim thing, don't get your hopes up. Jewel has already turned it down before, and I really doubt she will change her mind. She may be doing thinks like with Shick now and then, but I really doubt shes going to go as far as Maxim and in a way, "selling her body." I'll respect whatever decision she may make, however. She is an intelligent person and knows what shes doing. Shes gotten used to the fame for the most part and knows how to handle it all by now. Peace! It's just a little article with a picture from the Intuition shoot. Lemme just say...wow. She's wearing what is quite possibly the shortest skirt I have EVER seen. Really...ever. Her shirt is a little see-through, and she's wearing an American flag bikini top under it.. Very skimpy cut, blue with white stars. I think high heels as well, and her hair looks great. It's pretty strange to see Jewel like that, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it was hot.. Also, Jewel's on the last page with a picture from that fashion show people sent pics from a few weeks ago. Her hair is in that really weird updo, and the outfit is the jeans, jacket, and shirt she wore when she wasn't on the catwalk. It's a very strange look; not sure about it. But it's Jewel nonetheless! =) - -- Scott http://scott.rocket-fish.org/ http://syd.rocket-fish.org/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Apr 2003 23:04:55 -0300 From: "Fabio (wnet)" Subject: [EDA] I support you Jewel! Just wanted to say that I support you Jewel!!! Lenedra, you're the best!!! Jewel has to do what she has to do. As long as she keeps bringing fresh and from the heart music, I'll support her all the way. I'm extremely happy that this CD will get a lot of exposure and I hope it's a huge hit because that will bring a lot more atention to the acoustic one that will follow (well, if it really happens). If she were to release an acoustic one now, it would be such a flop, commercially speaking, no matter how good the music was. I'm very happy with all that's going on. I just hope Jewel will come to BRAZIL this time :-) !!! You sound like one of those Jewel haters. It's a huge offence to ever consider Jewel to be becoming a new Britney Spears. I do believe that if Jewel heard it, especially from you, who she knows, she would be very dissapointed that you don't know her at all, or worse, don't believe her. Rethink things over. Don't you want Jewel to be popular in Europe? This is her biggest chance and she's doing it her way. Intuition is a fantastic song, I just can't get it out of my mind. We had fun with Jewel's music for a long time now let's Jewel have her part of the fun! Well I found it quite hilarious (after the fact) that I got bucked off my horse today and almost broke my right collar bone. It turns out that I just bruised it really bad and might have a little fracture. I also twisted and pulled some muscles in my shoulder. Anyways I found it a little ironic that we are coming up on the anniversary of Jewel's unfortunate accident last year and then I almost had the same thing happen. Except I was very luck and only had minor injuries. I thought that y'all would get a kick out of it... Jewel is not the only one :) I think she is smart enough to not have to sell her soul in order for this to work out. Plus it looks like Schick is giving a lot to Jewel's charities, so that is good. We all have to make decisions in our lives that we may not totally love. When Jewel does it just involves a lot more money and a lot more people than I assume most of us will ever have to deal with, give her a break.
