Shakira has often reminded me of Jewel, and now the opposite is happening.. hmm Okay, It would be unfair for me to judge the new album from a 43 second clip... But, I have to disagree with the song, and say that What was Good... still is Good. :::Sigh::: I know, that makes me one of the people that are living in the past. First time I listened to the clip I heard the accordian playing and I thought "Oh no.." then the beat and the electric guitar came in and Jewel's voice singing "lalilala..." and I thought "Yeah!". Even from that small clip the song has a very catchy melodic sound to it and Jewel's voice is perfect. There should be no doubt that this will chart high. The song is extremely radiofriendly and Jewel has been very lucky working with such great producers. Now it's all up to marketing and it seems to me the record company has strong belief in this record when they're announcing the Central Park concert. It'll draw loads of people spanning all ages and fans as well as non-fans as the admission is free. Sort of looks like a Jewel-ReLaunch. This has also made me think about the DVD that she appearantly recorded footage for on her This Way tour. I can't really see it coming through for a while now as she has a new sound out. Earliest is probably between this and her acoustic album or after that. Jewel has said that her voice is changing so why not let her music change with it.
