Merry Christmas EDA's! Santa gave me some duplicates of some Jewel things I already have. I was just wondering if anyone would like to trade anything for them, If you have any Jewel guitar picks that would be great. But I am willing to trade just about anything for them. I have: Heart Song, the story of Jewel by Scott Gray. It is a paper back. Angel Standing by, the story of Jewel, by p.j McFarland, also paper back. Both of the books are brand new. Email me if you want to trade or you have any questions. Thanks! Steph P.S I have been hearing Jewel's Christmas music being played on the radio a lot. It's pretty cool. I would have to say, from top to bottom, that list of 40 songs is the most ridiculous "top" list I have ever seen in my entire life. The fact alone that 30 of the top 40 are from 1990 & on for a list running from 1955 to 2002 tells you that the mathematical formula they used to compile this list is biased towards "today's" music ranking trends. Songs now a days stay on charts a lot longer than in the old days (I feel there's a variety of reasons for that but that is another discussion). Length on a chart is not a quality measurement. (then again, this particular Top 40 listing never said it was a "quality of song" measurement, just a numerical measurement based on ranking longevity. I can name 50 songs from 1955 to 1970 that charted that are MUCH better quality than 90% of the top ten on that list (Smooth was a pretty slick song and certainly belongs in a Top Song listing. Not sure where I myself would put it, but I cannot argue it's belonging on such a list...the rest of that top ten?.....I have to laugh) No offense meant to anyone's fave songs.
