Imagine all the people sharing all the >world"-John Lennon You should replace the avril one with the Johnny Rzenick one ^_^ If not go wiht John Lennon. Jewel has far better quotes than that though, some of them are good, but arent exactly suitable for a yearbook. I think "we are everyday angels" or "id rather see the world from another angle" are good. I'm sensitive is the only song i have in my head right now ;p Mark _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 04 Dec 2002 21:51:15 -0500 From: Mike Connell Subject: [EDA] NJC: Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans....yummy! OK, so there I was shopping for my annual unique stocking stuffer when I ran across a 1.75oz box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour beans. Viola! Stocking stuffer shopping is over! "I'll just pick me up about 16 of these and the nieces/nephews will have a field day". Getting home, I take a close look at the flavors listed on the box. Being made by Jelly Belly, the beans are color coded and labeled on the box for easy flavor identification. Now, obviously those of you that know the Harry Potter stories know all about these beans and the fact that they are pretty much as they say, jelly beans of EVERY flavor. If you do not know the story, well, they have jelly beans of every flavor in the first Harry Potter film and presumably the books. Some of the flavors in the first film were....well....yuck. First bean out of the box, dark green with white spots. Box code says...spinach! "Wow, these ARE going to be oddly flavored" I thunk to myself. Spinach it is! It tastes JUST like spinach! Sugary spinach, but spinach none-the-less. This is flippin' kewel. Popeye and Olive Oyl would have had an easy time getting the kids eating spinach that tasted like that. Only in America, a spinach flavored jelly bean. Next bean.....grape jelly, boring. Next bean....toasted marshmallow, boring....next bean......sardine! Now we are getting somewhere! And...it tastes JUST like sardines! This is GREAT! I feel like a kid again!.......bubble gum, boring.....DIRT! The next one is Dirt! It tastes JUST like DIRT! banana.....cherry....another sardine.......ut oh........gulp!......color code says.....it says vomit....they DO have a vomit flavored bean.....deep breath.....VERY deep breath......oh my god! it tastes JUST like vomit! I gotta buy stock in these!......blueberry.......another spinach....back pepper, kewel...yep, tastes like black pepper.......grape jelly......ear wax! ear wax? They serious? OK, I'll take their word for it, I guess this tastes like ear wax. Gosh, what's next? Toe jam? Cherry....another spinach....OK, I'll try the vomit....not too bad....tastes like barf sure as I am sitting here, sugary barf but not too bad.......bubble gum.....lemon drop......grass! Yep, tastes just like a fresly mowed lawn.......grape jelly.....booger! Booger? They have a booger flavored bean.......deep breath......yep, tastes JUST LIKE A BOOGER! (just kidding...yes, they DO have a booger flavored bean, but I have no experience in how boogers taste....honest...I don't......really, I'm not kidding........oh jeeze...another vomit bean......yech! Patooey! Spit it out....too strong! Yuck....blech....oh god....I need something to drink....something strong......only in America, a vomit flavored jelly bean. Anyway, these are for real and make a GREAT stocking stuffer....found them at Walden Books.....you can see them at www.jellybelly.com and click on the main page link to Bertie Bott's beans..... One thing I want to know though......how much did they pay the taste tester for the vomit beans? I mean, how many times did he (she) tell them "I don't know. It's missing something. Not quite vomity enough, we need MORE vomit flavor". You'd have had to pay me a lot to taste test them. Anyone know/remember the Vietnam era protest song, "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield? I've always been able to imagine Jewel doing that one. Also, I'm sure that Jewel could do "Because" from the Beatles "Abbey Road" album (or indeed most any song from that album.) :) Ian, the angel who rarely posts. ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V7 #526 ***************************
