She expects the majority of the people to be seeing their first concert-- at least for that leg of the tour. Undoubtedly it would get reptetitive after that many times. But I don't understand how you can feel that it is making it "less special" having people up on stage at concerts more and then. I live in Newfoundland, Canada, and on top of that I am a teenager. I can only dream of actually experiencing a Jewel concert in person. Would I feel less special if I was invited on stage by Jewel like many have before? Of course not. My dreams would come true. Everytime Jewel does this, she is not taking the spontainiousness(thats a nice word lol) out of the show, but making someone elses dreams come true every time. Presently, Jewels career shows no sign of slowing down. Shes going her way, doing what she wants, how she wants. She is planning two new studio albums out in the next two years, has bought the rights to a movie, and recently it has been announced (but not confirmed?) that she is starring in another movie besides that, with the director of Ali. And this February she hopes to release a book of love poems. Its unfair to me that you say Jewel is getting old and repetitive because you've been to 40 of her concerts... I've been to none at all. ;( Hopefully when I'm older and on my own I will be able to afford to make it to a place where she is performing and have a truely Jewel experience.
