Hi, I've looked all over, and I can't find the lyrics to a song Jewel did at her last concert in St. Petersburg, FL. Its called "The Other Woman". I don't think she wrote it, but its a song I'd like to learn. If anyone has the words to it please e-mail me. We have two "new tour" audio clips for you. First up is a solo acoustic performance of "Standing Still" from opening night at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, ME. This was only the second time Jewel has attempted this song without her band. It's been going over well and likely to stay in the setlists for awhile. Next up is a recording from the following night at Foxwoods Casino Theater in Mashantucket, CT. Jewel ponders her songwriting achievements before launching into the song she wishes most to be remembered for (insert laughter here...). Check out this week's photos, which in addition to featuring Jewel, focus on our ClearWater Project Tour Team. You can educate yourself about the ClearWater Project at: http://www.clearwaterproject.org/ The setlist for the Buffalo show has also been added to the setlist page, with more up soon. I've got a small job for you guys. My mom just got diagnosed with cancer of pancreas today. She's been sick for over a year now in which three different doctors missed this "mass" in her pancreas, telling her she just had pancreatitis. So, she is now is stage 3 out of 4 which isn't good. As of this point there is no cure for it, just treatment to hopefully make it more tolerable. So i'm going to ask you guys for your prayers in hope to make my mom at least happy and comfortable in the remainder of her time. Thanks you guys so much! There's always this chance of someone saying the artist is "stealing." This whole owl thing is a perfect example of that. I mean, it's quite similar to how they can't accept poems written by people or songs. That's why they tend to not accept demos directly. It's a legal issue and they'd rather not deal with that. Also, I think if you send something to an office like that, you should think that it will become the property of Jewel or her management team. It's the same as those contests people have. All items submitted shall become the property of the receiver. And overall, I think yeah, the guy is naive. It's a bit ridiculous of him to ask for a greater amount of money. How many pieces had he sold before? Hmm. Regardless of who I send a gift to, I don't expect anything back, expecially if it's a celebrity we're talking about. I've sent stuff to Jewel and frankly, it surprised me that I am on some sort of mailing list. Like, that time they sent out that little postcard to everyone with a message from Jewel. Remember that? I was surprised I even got that. Poor guy, he needs some advice from someone that knows what they're talking about and not from that agent guy who seems to just be playing him.
