And I mean, met, talked to, because an quittances, not just maybe got an autograph once after a concert. Two, who's to say that Jewel has even read his letter in the first place? So many letters get sent to her, I'm sure only a select few actually are read by her. And maybe since he did send a painting it should of been one of the ones brought to her attention, but it still might not of been. I think the picture was great, and though I don't understand why he put an owl in it he stated that he had his reasons. And, I don't think this guy is stupid. Naive, definately. But not stupid. The picture was initially a nice gesture, and Jewel's management team misused it. If they had sent him his book back autographed, there wouldn't have been a problem. And iIf they were going to use it to promote Jewel, they should have sent him a check. And, though I am still a Jewel fan, I hope he continues to try to get compensation for his painting, in or out of court. Since he initially sent the picture as a gift, I don't know if he would be able to do anything about it or not... Regardless, Jewel's team misused the gift. If Jewel herself had chosen to do whatever with the picture, that is one thing. It was a gift to her, and she can do what she will with it. That doesn't sound like the case to me, and I think the poor guy should at least get his painting back... And remember, we are Every Day Angels. It's entirely possible that there was a mixup along the way (he tried to go around official channels, using her brother to send her something?) so the book may have been lost/misplaced or something. IOW, they may have had no idea what he was ranting about until some point well after he started complaining. They sent him an autographed book. At this point, he got all he says he'd originally wanted, but he decided the autograph wasn't "sincere enough" or something. Most of his ranting seems focussed on everything past all of that. He seems to have imagined no possible way they meant well, or that any events out of his personal experiences were anything but disrespectful towards him. That makes him selfish and immature. He now believes he deserves significant compensation for these "wrongs." This makes him arrogant. There may be some details I failed to notice, but it's his burden to prove his case to others at this point. That he can't take the trouble to even express himself in a clear and concise way, also suggests a level of arrogance. We all make mistakes in composition, but that page didn't even try to communicate. I have no proof that Jewel didn't do anything wrong, I also have no proof she did. All I've seen are the barely coherent ramblings on his site. This neither establishes the credibility of the witness, nor provides any preponderance of evidence on his behalf. It does demonstrate conjecture and a willingness to condemn others based on that conjecture. He may not be lying, but he's assuming many facts outside of his own observation, and asking us to accept all of that as fact.
