I'd like to take this opportunity to put in my "nay" vote on the hip hop/R&B
album concept.  A song or two, just to mix things up, would be okay, but I
couldn't take a whole album of music-free music.  (Not that anyone's looking
for MY approval!)


I wouldn't go so far as to say she couldn't pull it off...since I don't like
that genre at all, I don't think ANYONE pulls it off, and wouldn't be a good
judge of what was marketable or acceptable in that circle.


I DO really like "Shadows Play" and the jazz covers she has done.  I think
the music is a really good showcase for her voice, and I'm all about letting
the voice shine through.  I would go for an a capella album before I would
the hip hop thang.


But that's just me!

ok, thats twice!  Why do you guys hate Kelly????  I mean... she wouldn't 
have won the American Idol thing if it wasn't for the PEOPLE.  Now the 
people are totally against her.

its weird.... 'cause a lot of people seem to hate all these boy bands and 
teenybopper stuff... yet they are like the most popular and are always 
wining the awards.  If people hate them... who votes for them?  There can't

Add Fiona Apple to that list and it sounds great!  About Kelly Clarkson..I 
think she's talented and a nice person but I don't think she fits on the 
Lilith lineup either.

speaking of not fiting in.....  i really don't think Avril would fit in.  I 
mean i LOVE her and everything... but... she's not really lilith material, i 
don't think.  and maybe not even Michelle branch.  Though w/ both of them 
there, it would keep me watching.  Im really not into the lilith thing...  i 
only watched it for Jewel a couple yrs back.

I'm not really into the Lilith thing either.  Also, I was wondering..how do 
the guys on this list feel about the Lilith thing?  I personally don't like 
the idea of an only women tour.  Lilith has become like a category now.  
People put Jewel in the "Lilith category" and I don't think she should be 
categorized in that way.  And usually when people categorize artists that 
way, they speak of them in a kind of negative way.
