It says basically, "I can't express the excitement or the gratitide I feel for all I have been given. I am living a dream because people have helped me achieve it. Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you"...The number on it is PRCD 6888. Looks legit. Anyone know anything about this one ? Mike ? That's not it though, just about 10 minuites later as I walked passes limeted too, what do I hear, oh yes, Serve the Ego bumping out of the store. This is a list for people who LIKE Jewel. If you ever see a post from someone saying "I hate her and her music" or someone only posts about her "attributes" as we see on other online forums, that person will be booted off the list. Also, if someone is a fan but crosses the line with a post, they will either be suspended from the list or booted off depending on the post, the persons' history etc.<< so what you're saying is... you can say things negative about Jewel... but not go so far as to say "i hate her". So... my question is... Calling Jewel a bitch or saying shes a bitch to her fans, and calling her the queen of stuck up, is that not crossing the line? i don't get it. Because in my book, that would be crossing the line. Yet, the people that have said those things are still on the list. So much for getting booted off. >>As for other artists, POSITIVE comments about another artists are welcome, even if 100% NJC. The reason negative opinions about other artists are very much frowned upon is that they tend to be overly negative and the artist likely has fans on this list and they will be offended, and list history shows that the onlist replies to these posts tend to get heated and flame-wars often develop and things get out of hand.<< ok, but you said this earlier... "It's only natural for "fans" of a celebrity to dislike as well as like something about the celebrity and/or their creations." so... what if we ARE fans of the person. Say.... i'm talking about britney spears for example... im a fan of hers. If i say.. "oh man, she looked slutty in that award show" Would that be considered bashing her? According to what you're saying, it wouldn't, because im a fan. :) and i have the right to dislike something :) ok.. thats about all. - --Jewel Worshiper-- http://www.angelfire.com/sk/killorgeteven/pale_shade_of_grey.html (my Jewel Page) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jewel is GOD WWJD --- What Would Jewel Do _________________________________________________________________ Get faster connections -- switch to MSN Internet Access! http://resourcecenter.msn.com/access/plans/default.asp ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Oct 2002 21:46:38 -0400 From: "* Melissa*" Subject: [EDA] Mani symbol pic? It recounted some of the behind-the-scenes stuff that's happened at Unplugged tapings.. They showed how Jewel actually was in the middle of taping and asked the producers if she could sit down and finish writing lyrics in her head.. So she sat down on stage for 10 minutes, finished "Down," and played it. Truly refreshing. I don't even think they showed "Down" on the broadcast, did they? They showed about 10 seconds of it.. I don't know if Jewel appears elsewhere in the episode, but there's a good chance.. I can't watch the rest, but maybe someone can go to tvguide.com and see if it's showing up in their local listings.. =) scott.evans [[mind is DISCONNECTED. but my heart is WIRED.]] AOL IM: sevans112 .
