PLEASE if you have this dont delay to tell me, and please dont not tell me out of suspision that someone else will. i REALLY must have this concert! thank you to all who respond to this. oh and please do so privately. thanks alisa PS: i have tons to trade, an amount i wouldnt say on the list. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: Click Here ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Sep 2002 08:32:37 +0000 From: "now and zen girl" Subject: [EDA] guitar pic story from my jewel concert on 9/11 i forgot one thing about the show that i wanted to share. so far at 4 out of my 6 jewel shows i have managed to get guitar pics. the first time doug and tony both threw their pics right at me, the 2nd time was at humphreys where i got jewels pic, the 3rd was in minnesota this past july and i got t-bones pic... but this was the best one yet, i was getting good at this now... i ran up there, i was close to begin with, but i had to fight threw a bunch of people going against me. i had spotted out the first pic she dropped in the middle of singing a long slow slide, but when i got up there i saw there was one pic left and it was the one she had used the entire show, she usually drops them, but this time she kept putting it back and using it again, and it was in her mouth so many times, she does just what i do, a bit of spit for grip. anyway, i got that pic, i didnt hesitate i said "can i have a pic?!" the stage guy spun around and gave it to me! then i dropped it forcing me to fall onto the stage to get it and people yelled in defence of myself that i had dropped it, but then i looked down in the wires at the base of the microphone for the other pic, and there it was! so i went for it without hesitation, and the security guard lady was like hey! you cant do that! and people defended me, and she was like thats not cool. so i turned to go when a sweet man said in a sweet voice "can i have it" without hesitation i slipped it into his hand. i felt it was fair, for he was probably gonna get that other pic if i hadnt barged in there so swiftly. i hope he enjoys it as much as i would have. he was so surprised when i just gave it to him, it was great. the point of this story is........... was that guy one of you?! it never occured to me to ask him if he was an eda! alisa - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: Click Here ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Sep 2002 01:53:38 -0700 From: "maria cristina silud sitoy" Subject: [EDA] MARTHA DAVIS before Jewel... Hi guys, Peace!!! Its been sometime that I havent posted. But day to day I keep track to those who were diligent to post their messages and praised them for their effort. This time, I would like to ask all of you if have known Martha Davis of the band The Motels. Yes, I dig her music since I was in still in college. At the end of the 80s era, she seemed to have lost in the limelight and only then this recent time that I found news of her through internet. Shes back and still very much in love with music. For me, before I came to discover Jewel, she s the first woman I truly admire when music became my integral interest during my spare time.
