If you were really that good, wouldn't people be out buying your CD's then? And just because you and your friend didn't care much for them doesn't mean millions of others wouldn't. You both are only two people. You're saying for people not to bash you for what you said yet I think the fact that you're in a band, sing, and play an instrument is all the more reason you should be out making millions like they are if you're going to sit there and bash THEM by saying it's nothing you couldn't do better. If it's nothing you couldn't do better, then DO IT. What are you waiting for? Let your actions speak...not your mouth. There's MY 2 cents. - ------------- >From: "now and zen girl" > >i didnt think that m2m did that well either. i remember during their set >my friend turned to me and said "are you even listening to them, cus im not >really." and i said "come to think of it, no. im kinda spacing out >thinking about jewel..." so they werent that gripping. like when jewel is >on stage i cant take my eyes off of her... well m2m didnt have that. they >werent very impressive. nothing i couldnt do better (dont bash me for >that, im in a band, i write songs, play insturments, and sing, so i feel i >can say that) my 2 cents for what its worth. alisa _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Aug 2002 02:33:42 EDT From: DixieJewelAngel@aol.com Subject: Re: [EDA] m2m Hey here are MY 2 cents (hehe) I loved M2M i listen to them a lot now, they sounded really good live, and my brother loved them, but the audience was all walking around and didn't pay much attention to them. After the song was done like 2 people would clap or scream. I think they did really good, and I wish I could see them again w/ Jewel.... the angel that is jewels number *1* fan hehe! ~Michele I love Jewel!!! Request "this way" on radio stations!!!!! I'm easy to deal with, but I respond extremely poorly to being shouted at. I appreciate subtlety. If someone has to be obvious to me, it really offends my pride. Had to write an essay on it, and it wasn't as mind numbingly boring as usual, so that has to be good. I first saw it when I hadn't been able to speak for 3 days and was somewhat delirious, so it left me rather confused as to my own mental state, lol. Was feeling trapped inside my own head. I think the way they filmed it was very clever - not just being non-linear but also how the two strands (colour and black and white) joined together very seamlessly. The acting performances were great too.... am disturbed by the film student-ness of me, so sorry if this reply isn't quite what you were looking for! LA Confidential maybe? Can't really think of many at the moment but will shout out if I do. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them. "Not very long," answered the Mexican. "But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American. The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family. The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?" "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs...I have a full life." The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat. With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge enterprise." "How long would that take?" asked the Mexican. "Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American. "And after that?" "Afterwards? That's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start selling stocks and make millions!" "Millions? Really? And after that?" "After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta, and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends." ziad. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Aug 2002 20:07:12 -0700 From: "maria cristina silud sitoy" Subject: [EDA] M2M a hit band in ASIA hello everyone, peace! it gets me annoy to read those stuff about M2M a flopped in a concert. frankly, i hate those people who posted such thing about the girls.the truth is, that M2M are as talented as any artist in the music industry.they are such a hit band in asia and even the two girls wrote songs appropriate for teen agers.out here in philippines people from all walks of life adore these ladies for they are beautiful and talented.i'm not huge fan of them but in my own opinion i don't think these girls don't deserve an overwhelming success, they work so hard, give their best. cristina Join 18 million Eudora users by signing up for a free Eudora Web-Mail account at http://www.eudoramail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Aug 2002 23:10:41 -0400 From: "Nicky Rheaume" Subject: [EDA] NJC:Top Concert Picks for Boston Hey everyone, I rarely post anymore, so I hate to just pop in and tell you about shows that aren't related to Jewel, BUT I'm going to because I think you'll like these artists.
