I've read some articles though that state some of the songs were co-written by her, but I think she basically wrote everything, as in it all came from ideas, stories, or feelings she was having at the time, but another writer may have tweeked with the wording or phrasing a bit....things like that. At least that's how I interpreted it. But yes, the CD is very autobiographical. And if you like Complicated then I suggest getting the CD because it's not even one of the best songs. Of the 13 tracks, there are about 5 or 6 others I actually like more than Complicated (as much as I like that song too). It's well worth the $10-$15. - --------------------------------- >From: Julianne Byrd > >Does Avril write her own songs? She wore tube tops for most of the Spirit Tour... and >remember >the Grammys dress? - --------------------------- In defense of Jewel...she's made it a known fact that she was not aware of the transparancy of the Grammy dress beforehand. That wasn't a planned thing, as would be concert attire. Yes, she picked the dress out, but no, she didn't pick it out because she knew it would show off her chest (or at least she's never admitted to knowing this). When I saw her during the Lilith Tour (1997), she was wearing more "earthy" types of clothes. So she has worn that in the past some. And she may be now as well, but the trend seems to be leaning more towards the barbie look (aka "sexy, attractive" look according to you) _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Jul 2002 01:33:29 EDT From: SullMa84@aol.com Subject: [EDA] Chicago drivers! There was only one version, the one with the seven songs. The Halloran one is a fake. In this day and age of CRs, it's easy to make fakes and I have seen PLENTY of fake STLs out there. One way to tell if you have a real one in your mitts is by visiting this web page I put together that shows how to tell a real Save The Linoleum from a fake one. I cannot recall the web address of it, but I will post it later when I get home from work. In the meantime, one surefire way to tell, at least to tell if the disc itself is real, is that on the music side of the CD you will see the Promo # etched near the hole. The promo # is PRCD 5999-2 and while that is not exactly what is on the Save The Linoleum CD, it's something like that. (the 5999-2 is there, but a few extra characters are thrown in, # # #'s I believe) Again, I'll post the address later. Hehe-- Funny, that's what we say about out-of-towners! =) As for parking, if you get there really, really, early, then there are some meters on Lake St...the street under the El Tracks. However, they're few, and far between, so I suggest using the designated Parking garage...look on the backside of your ticket to see where the parking garage is located. Good luck! The version that says its Jewel ("ultra rare live acoustic piano version") is not Jewel, it's not the Sundays either. It's Chantal Kreviazuk. I'm not the best to talk about it (Steve, help me out!), but about 25 radio stations are already playing the song: KMHX-FM, KRSK-FM, WQAL-FM, KFMB-FM, KQMB-FM, KBBY-FM, KNEV-FM, among others (these are the ones playing it more) It is also in the top 5 spins, which means that it's gaining new spins everyday (I guess). Everyday I see a new station adding the song to their playlist. Let's see what happens! I also noticed that Standing Still is still being played A LOT, and I don't know if it's good or bad... But i have high hopes on This Way, because SS is now declining and This Way is increasing, so... Well, that's it! The song on your list was probably "Wild Horse (Poem song)" So, keep it on your list, because Jewel does have a song with a similiar title to the one in question.
