First to clear something up: Someone wrote: "I am NOT saying that bothers me, but I also am NOT saying I agree with it. " - ----- When I read this at five this morning I took it to mean that the person did not agree with the statement that most of us guys on this list are homosexual. After reading the other replies I thought I'd better reread the original post, and realized that the person could be saying that he does not agree with someone being gay. So, if the former is true and the latter is false, it might be a good idea to post saying so.. But none of my affair. Personally, I am not offended by someone asking the group's sexual preference... Really, I found it kinda of interesting. So what if X percentage of the list is homosexual? It does not matter in any way, but the information itself is interesting I think. I also think it is possible to discuss something like this without homophobia, or the calling of homophobia.... Now for the flame war line of my post: I think it was rather rude and childish to raise the question of someone speaking through the haze of homophobia without being sure of the person's intent in the first place. I too am "sad and disappointed," but rather at someone accused of being homophobic. Maybe he is, perhaps he is not, but at least discuss things further before launching such comments. Anyway, back to being male, an EDA and which gender is attractive to said male members... :-) I am Texan, and work construction... While I do not hide that I'm an EDA, I do not hand out jewel stickers at work :-) But on the other hand, I do know the powerpuff girls' names, can name at least three soap opera characters, and read poetry... LOL ( come on now, take my posts lightly! ) I am happy to be straight (despite my monk-like love life), happy for the gay friends I have, and personally see nothing wrong with members discussing sexual preference. Rowdius (ps... Or as a mean old coot I used to work for once said, "I have nothing against some guy lovin' on another guy... Hell, if Jim and John want to get hitched, fine.... two less guys to compete with me for the women" ) (again, take me lightly, and it is a true quote) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Jun 2002 01:15:02 EDT From: LuckyStarr42@aol.com Subject: [EDA] I got Jewel's autograph tonight and sorta got to speak to her!! Hello Angels, I GOT JEWEL'S AUTOGRAPH!!!!!! song guy gave her a dozen roses so she was signing a copy of ANWA between songs and I sprinted over with my This Way Tour Book... and a bunch of other people tried to run over too. She signed about three books and this really rude security guy was like no more- blah blah blah. And I was like "Please Jewel- Please Just Sign Mine!!!" And she's like "I'll do her's, I'll do one more." And I got it. I am SO SO SO excited, I am going to get it framed!!! It was the greatest night of my life. My very first Jewel concert and it was everything I had expected. I had awesome seats I was in the second row to the left and I was so close. Jewel looked awsome. She was wearing a denim mini skirt with released hem with sequins on the side and she had one two think belts with a white sleeveless shirt that had a shiny gold design on it that was cute angular so it showed part of her stomach and pointly black stilleto ankle boots. The security was pretty cool for the most part. I was able to get my camera in with no problems and I was able to take a bunch of pictures with out getting in trouble. I made an adorable sign for the concert that said "EDA's <3 (heart) Jewel".... it was so cute and I worked hard on it and some asshole security guy took it from me because he said no signs allowed. But they had a list of things you couldn't bring in and posters were NOT on that list- he was an asshole. She played all the songs from This Way except for Break Me, Cleveland, and the Bonus Tracks. She played Hands, Absense of Fear, and Life Uncommon from Spirit. She played YWMFM, WWSYS, The Morning Song, and Little Sister from Pieces of You. I can't think of what else she played off the top of my head. Also she played The Cold Song and The Other Woman. I was kind of disappointed because I was expecting to hear a bunch of unreleased songs, but I wasn't that lucky. I stood the entire time and danced around and stuff. For a while there weren't very many people standing and this girl behind me was bitching at me and tried to make me sit down, but there was no way I was going to let her ruin my Jewel experience and I went right on dancing. Eventually Jewel got everyone to their feet. ashley staggers the I GOT JEWEL'S AUTOGRAPH AND GOT TO SPEAK TO HER angel ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Jun 2002 01:18:19 EDT From: DPS8315@aol.com Subject: [EDA] DDDelight Greetings Everyone, A few weeks ago I purchased an album labeled "Front Row Center" from Budweiser Entertainment - it's a promo CD "for radio play only" dated Dickweed Productions, Inc. 4/1997. I left them present intentionally. Also, freedb.org lists tracks 11, 14, and 18 differently... 11. 4:26 Satillite (Hollywood) 14. 3:38 Flower Girl (Flower) 18. 7:03 Chime Bells (Yodel Ditti) The correct titles for 14 & 18 are pretty obvious... but what about 11? Hey angels, my sister and i saw jewel in tampa on the 14th- my sister, not being a big jewel fan but likes her nonetheless, commented that jewel looked very thin compared to just a year ago or seeing her on TV. I didn't think anything of it, but i don't think she is too thin, although it is obvious she has lost a lot of weight. maybe it is because of her horse accident. i remember i lost almost 15 pounds after a car accident i was in where i broke 3 ribs- i was jealous of her actually! she looks great!
