Besides Jewel, she is the only female singer whose CD I have bought in the past year or so. she really has her own style and i think her songwriting and voice are great- anyone have any thoughts? Then the accompanying DVD could be like a behind the scenes thing combined with video performances of the songs (ie - the same performances as the ones chosen for the CD). But I was thinking - people are going to want to see performances from shows they went to, and the best performances of each song is probably going to be from different shows anyway. So instead of just picking one show for the DVD, they could do kind of a road diary/behind the scenes thing, and kind of follow the tour.. with the songs from the CD in between. So they start by saying "Tampa, FL" and have some behind the scenes footage, and then play I Won't Walk Away (say that's the first song on the live CD) from Tampa... and then move on to say... Orlando.. or whatever... and kind of go through a number of the venues, insert behind the scenes footage, and just go through each song. They could even do that for both CDs and have a double DVD. I just think that'd be really cool. And it kind of fits the whole "This Way" thing because "This Way" was supposed to be like a roadtrip through Jewel's head.. and this is an actual roadtrip through her songs... and that way you'd get a variety of venues and crowds and more people would see footage from a concert they went to. I think that'd be awesome. I'm sure they have TONS of footage. THey could even put some Soul City Cafe stuff on too. It'd be really cool.
