Look at Castles Made of Sand, or Tambourine Man, and most of Jewels unreleased stuff like Circle Song, or Louisa and her Blue Guitar, or Angel Needs a Ride... but with Avril and all the others, all of their songs are very simplistic and juvenile lyrically. I'm not saying whether they are good or bad musicians, I dont particularly enjoy them, and thats just my opinion, but certainly they cant be compared with Hendrix or Dylan. Just my two cents... Anyway, Wednesday night's amazing show in Philadelphia compelled me to come back and say hello and seek some assistance from all of you. As I mentioned, Wednesday's show was incredible (as it seems the entirety of this tour has been) and it just reminded me of how much I relied on the kindness of so many veteran EDA's in helping me to build my Angelfood collection. Like many of you, I have worn most of my tapes down to the nub with the constant playing and I'm hoping to rebuild/replace my collection. They already have massive airplay from what I hear. I really don't think they "need a chance" from us. Their promotions are working for them now. Now it's up to them to further their career.
