They've posted pics from the Tampa show... Jewel looked fantastic, and I really enjoy the artwork they're using as the backdrop for the stage setup. It looks AWESOME. It's about time Jewel had something more interesting than a couple of screens. I'm more and more exicted about June 28th everyday! My first Jewel concert. Next time I'd really rather see her in a smaller venue. THE RIDE THERE: I went with people I didn't even know that are on the Jewelink thing. I got stung by a wasp. The people I went with didn't have tickets, so the guy that worked there said if they gave him 20 each that he would let them in and I paid 52 for mine, but it was worth it. THE CROWD: They were such prudes! They would not stand up and dance. There were a bunch of old people. Most of the people only knew the single songs. The last 3 seats down was singing so loud during the slow songs when everyone else was quiet. THE CONCERT: Jewel was so awesome! She signed autographs for people at the end, but I couldn't get down there from where I was in time. When she did "Foolish Games," the part "Smoking your cigarrettes," you could hear everyone in the audience go sssssscigarrettes. That was kind of cool. I loved the performance of "Everybody Needs Someone Sometime." She asked what everyone wanted to hear, so I said "Nicotine Love," but she didn't play it. Then, there were a whole bunch of people screaming "Race Car Driver," and I'm really sure she heard that, but she didn't play it. It was great, but it just felt like I was watching her on tv, b/c I was sort of far away and the crowd was so boring! CAMERA, FLOWERS, AND MERCHANDISE: I went closer to the stage to take a picture and this guy saw me and told me to put it away, b/c they weren't allowed. So I walked up the stairs and took another quick one. Then, some other guy chased me down and took it from me. I wanted to cry so bad! He said he couldn't give it back either. Anyway, I got the "Do You Want To Play" shirt, 2 posters, and the keychain flashlight. At the end, I went to the stage to get a guitar pick, no more left, but I did get these flowers that she had. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
