I was just thinking... When I first listened to This Way I thought it was full of hits, but now that I've listened to it a LOT, I see I was wrong. Jewel has almost nothing to do with the radio scene nowadays (which is good, for me, don't get me wrong) I think. And it got me thinking if the song "This Way" will be successful. Ok, some say it's similar to YWMFM (I disagree, but...), but do you guys think that YWMFM would be successful TODAY? I have my doubts... That's why I think Jewel should stop releasing songs that are trying to "fit in" just to be hits and release something that's really what she believes and is really her, cause that's the only chance she's got to show the world she ain't that van girl anymore. People will never know that Jewel grew up if she only releases songs like Standing Still and This Way. Plus, This Way has like 7 songs about love and 7 not about it (i'm not sure about these numbers), and she released 2 love songs already. Why release one more???????? It's really dissapointing, I think. I've never, ever heard another song when she was with Mazzy Star or otherwise that Hope has sounded like Jewel though. Happy Father's Day :) ~ Sandy Fade Into You is a song by Mazzy Star. The Bm is for B minor, the x24432 is the stings on the guitar. X means you don't play that string, 2 is the second fret, 4 is the fourth fret, 3 the third... it's showing you how to play a B minor chord. I think the sting order is low -> high... phew! I can truthfully say that this was the best concert (besides nashbash) SHe was COMPLETLY into every single song, every note... and was in an incredible mood. She flirted, smiled and danced like ONLY jewel can. She was so funny sometimes when she would play air guitar slightly... you could tell out of habit. SHe played, Wont walk away, Standing still, WWSYS, YWMFM, NWW, LMJLMA, Little Sister, Morning song, This way, Jesus Loves you, Everybody needs someone sometimes, DO you want to play, Till we run out of road, several others... including a cover of "the other woman" (i think is the name) NO BREAK ME. which was kind of unusual i thought since its the single she was most recently pushing. OH well. OK, Bed for me. I decided to drag my mother along after fighting allll day long about how she DIDNT want to go. I stood with Jenn (CFUJENN) and mom stood way in back. (good at least i didnt have to listen to her)Althought she tried to make it up to me by purchasing a jewellight and the THIS WAY tourbook. Turns out, She went to the bathroom. She used the handicapped stall, and Someone reached under the stall and grabbed the book and her purse. BEfore she could get out the girl had taken the money, the book her glasses and everythign in the purse and then threw the purse down and ran. Mom asked the girl in the bathroom who was SUPPOSED to be watching things and she said "Oh yeah, that purse?" pointing to the ground. The girl toko the stuff and threw it on the floor. Well, the good thing is i still have the Jewel Light ;) alright alright amanda... shut up... go to bed... Night everyone :) I am going to make a web page, when im done with my travels...
